I got banned - how do I appeal?

I cant login anywhere on any blizzard site…I was banned yesterday and it just said I violated the EULA without any explanation.

I know posting here wont help anything, so I just need info on how I submit an appeal when I cant login anywhere? (the only reason I can post this, I think, is because I haven’t logged out yet) but any other place wont let me login and says I am banned. So confused. Where can I appeal the ban that I don’t have to log in?

Thx in advance.

That link asks you to log in to submit the appeal, and when I try it doesn’t let me. That’s why I am here, I dotn know where else I can do it

Um, you don’t need to be ingame to do it. There is a link at the bottom that sends you to the support site.

Im talking logging into the site…not the game.

Again, I cant login to any blizzard site to submit a ticket. Every link they provide to appeal goes to a page that makes you login and I cant do this step because it tells me i am banned and cant login.

You are able to post on the forums, so that means you are still logged in.

You are getting an error when you go to this link?

Yes I explained why I can post here and not other places… I know all the other places to submit appeals and it isn’t working because I was forced logged out everywhere else after the ban, and to submit an appeal I have to login and cant.

Someone else chime in? I am going in circles.

If you are gonna cop an attitude, don’t bother…

You don’t need to be logged in to access the web portal.

This is a player to player help forum, and it’s 6:30am in Austin, and 4:32am in California. The SFAs will not be in til 9am Austin as the forums are NOT staffed 24/7.

This is the best you are gonna get, and everybody else is gonna say the same thing. Good Luck with your appeal.

That’s the only place you can appeal, no where else and the blues here won’t do it for you. The folks who handle the appeals are only contacted by ticket.

Not much else we can offer for help.

Thanks Zenjy… I just don’t understand how I can file an appeal if I have to login… and since I can’t login I can’t file an appeal lol…

Only thing I can think of is to possibly try a different web browser? Clear cookies, all that jazz

This here. While you may not be able to post, you should still be able to log in to the Blizzard website and access support even when suspended or banned.

Things to try:

  • Clear cache and cookies
  • Check browser security programs and addons that might be blocking login
  • Use a different browser/s
  • Try a different computer or device such as a tablet or phone. Phones have the advantage of being able to use the phone connection vs your internet network if you let it.
  • Try a VPN (not supported but not against the rules).

Write down the results of each test. Hopefully by the time the Blues get in to to work one of those will have solved it for you.

If not, you still have to put in a ticket but you would have to make a new Bnet account in your legal name to do it. That is permitted. My guess though, is that whatever is blocking login to the website/support system on your current Bnet account will persist to a new one.

Amrys, on this forum we try to help players navigate the support system, answer policy questions, etc. What you posted is not helpful at all.

None of us (as players) can see the logs showing what a player has done. We don’t know if they are innocent, guilty, caught in a false positive, or what. It is best to stick to factual information instead of personal judgements without an information base.

Mirasol has provided some great troubleshooting steps to get logged into your current account Dplus.

Just as another option to submit an appeal, you can create a new battle.net account using your same name and info, just with another e-mail address. That should at least let you get logged in to submit an appeal.

It’s definitely odd that you are not able to log in though. When an account is actioned, you should still be able to access the support options and log into the website etc.

So if you go to the link Stormfury gave you, and hit the big blue “Contact Us” button…

You’ll see this:

See the link underneath the Log In button where it says “Can’t log in?”

If you hit that, you’re then faced with this screen:

And you go from there.

This is the wrong forum to troll as it is the most heavily moderated forum there is. If you have nothing constructive to contribute in helping the OP’s issue, it’s wisest not to antagonize someone seeking assistance. They can battle out what flagged their account with Blizzard. They’re not contesting the sanction here, they’re trying to find the process to get them to where they need to be.

I am the OP here. This is an old account.

they said that I bought gold with RL money, which I have never done in my life. However, when I told my 12-year-old son what happened he admitted he used my account to be the “middle man” to get the gold from the gold seller and then give it to his account.

So, unfortunately the ban is justified and I am not going to try to appeal further. I also shut his account down and he will no longer be playing.

Hopefully it’s a teachable moment. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Oh no… I am glad you understand that they ban the account, not the person as we are responsible for all logins on it.

What a hard lesson, but hopefully one that leaves an impression on him. :frowning:

I am so sorry.

Much respect for this.

And while he did screw up, props to him for admitting his mistake. Lots of kids that age would deny it until their dying breath.

Good luck to you. :+1:
