Congrats, 5 months, and I’ll still farming that mount.

Congrats. That is one mount I don’t think I’ll ever want. Too bright.

I like those phoenix’ though. Want one for a hunter pet on my hunter.

Not for this specific mount but yeah it’s normal to get lucky. I’ve been lucky when it’s come to mount farming several times.

  • Got TBC Midnight the first time I stepped into the raid. I just hit 70 and joined a new guild. Best 98 I ever rolled.
  • Got the Legion Midnight first time I went into the dungeon.
  • Only took me 42 runs of Sethikk Halls to get the Raven Lord. At the time I had 20-something alts so 2 days of farming.
  • Got the Stonecore mount in 30 runs and the Vortex mount in 60.
  • Got the Antoran Charhound the first time I ran Antoras.
  • Got the Ashes of Al’ar from my second kill. I had killed Kael before during TBC with my guild but when I went back to mount farm him I killed him on Tovi then I logged on my Priest to kill him. Bam. Dropped.
  • Got the Cloud Hippogryph from the first paragon cache I opened. Got the drake and moose shortly after that.

However, it’s not all roses because there’s an ugly flip side to all of that…

  • Took me nearly 300 kills to get the Panther from Cata ZG.
  • 200ish kills for the Cata ZG raptor.
  • Took weeks of farming Tomb to get the serpent. I lost count on how many times I killed Mistress Sass.
  • Farming the Zandalari Warbringers almost broke me. I had to kill them hundreds of times. When I got my last mount, I had 300 each of the four different kind of rep tokens.
  • The carpet from the Nightbourne Paragon cache was a terrible grind. I was running 6 or 7 (maybe more) toons at exalted every day for the cache. It took months me to get this one too.
  • Invincible was a little less than 400 kills.
  • Blazing Drake was 200ish.
  • 22 months of 7 day eggs and 1 month of 3 day eggs to get the Green Proto Drake.
  • Took weeks of running 30+ characters to get the last Garrison Invasion mount. That was a horrible grind too. Mounts that come from boxes gives me PTSD.

That’s pretty awesome grats! I got Invincible on like my 4th run and I was going for the pet, not even the mount. So yeah it happens.

Grats! I farmed forever until it finally dropped for me. I LOVE it, and use it but those wing sounds………

It only took me like four or five runs tbh. But I must have run ICC a thousand times and still dont have that mount.

Congrats, the likelyhood of me obtaining mine, would greatly enhance if I actually did the dungeon.

Is it normal to get both mounts from firlands on the same run?

It’s just stupid luck. Is it normal to want to bang your head agent the keyboard after so many years farming the mist world bosses and not have one of them drop?..I don’t want an answer to that.

Yeah it drops easy … had to run it 4x back in BC
