Grats! Some times it happens.
I got the Smoldering Emberwing dragon dude from Kara my first attempt to when me and my partner ran through it a couple of weeks ago. Was pretty surprised I didn’t have to actually farm it.
Everything else on the other hand… continues to elude me :L

Depends on who you talk to. For you and me, it wasn’t a rare mount at all. For my husband though… he couldn’t get the thing to drop.

That thing took me like 200 runs. Finally got it one week when I decided to run my last eligible character through. First time I had run that one, aaaaaaaand…yay!

Took me 94 tries.

I got it on my first time too… I wasn’t even trying for it either… I was just bored and was like “I havn’t done this raid yet… lets solo it…” and boom… Ashes of Al’ar drops…

Got mine in my 2nd solo run. Didn’t take long at all.

As for Blue Proto Drake, took me 10 years.

First time I went to get Rivendares mount… it dropped. Was just trying to figure out the best way to farm for it. Apparently one kill is the best way.

I always wanted Rivendares mount, but knew I didn’t have the will to farm it. Then bam! Leveling my warlock 6 months or so ago, it dropped on a LFD run!

Can’t say there’s been many happier moments in modern WoW😄

I got it under 100 runs and I feel lucky.

I call you lucky. It took me 3 years for that mount to drop (which it dropped early this month for me).

I got Ashes on the first time with my paladin, was farming pets from TK and said ‘I’m here might as well kill him’ and it dropped. Contrast that with farming ZG weekly from about 3.1 on to the last night it was around before being removed by Cata pre-patch and not getting the raptor nor the tiger. I’ve found if I’m not seeking it out the mounts like to drop :stuck_out_tongue:

I can be a very mean person when I want to be. I took all of my alts (at that time there was just 20) in and farmed for that mount for 3 weeks til I got it. The only reason I farmed it was to rub it in the face of my friends ex girlfriend who I did not like since she was only with him because he was rich.
