I got 3 425 titanforged items from m+ cache 3 weeks in a row and still hate titanforging

How is it trolling to ask if he deleted them?

Unless I am mistaken in the previous 120 replies on this thread no one has be up with hpw deleting gear would achieve anything.

Sadly I doubt they will now.

I am actually hoping to be wrong in this though. I will wait.

I never said delete it. That would idiotic. I am just saying you can always have an enchanter disenchant it and then sell the rest, or you can use it in that machine and get “titan residue” to actually earn the 425 item that the ethereal vendor gives you.

I am just saying if you hate a system, but end up using it. It really defeats your purpose on complaining and trying to get the people to get rid of the system.

Good for you? keep your saliva off my lewtz.

For one, WoW has always been a slot machine, ever since Vanilla the best gear always came from RNG sources. So if you were wanting to maximize your characters power progression you needed to engage with RNG.

Second, I’m of the opinion that character progression based on power is the worst possible way to play this game because, back then and now, it never ends since the goalposts always change. Every patch and every expansion it changes, so in essence it’s a endless grind to min/max your character and even if you reach it, it’s never finite and you start all over again eventually.

I learned that a while ago and my overall enjoyment of the game has improved a lot by simply only engaging with the gearing systems until I plateau enough where I can comfortably do what I want, which for me is completing finite goals like collecting transmog, mounts, and pets, as well as conquering Mythic raids for the challenge and their rewards.

Uh, if they aren’t upgrades, why would you NOT scrap/DE them? -shakes head while walking away-

first of all titan residue only comes from azerite pieces, and azerite pieces cannot titanforge… so the first half of your paragraph makes no sense.
Secondly, again, not using the system serves absolutely no purpose at all what so ever, if it does please enlighten me and tell me what purposes it serves.
Using the system, even tho I dislike it, does serve a purpose, and that is staying competitive gearwise with other players.

no matter If I use the system or do not use it, none of them help my purpose of getting rid of the system

Obviously you haven’t met my parents.

I’m a raider. I’m complaining about TF right now. I don’t like that when I do heroic, I receive rewards that push me past their mythic counter parts. I don’t like progressing in difficulty only realize that I won’t be progressing my character for those slots.

While I agree that the M+ loot system and TF together work synergistically to compound the problem, that doesn’t mean that I think that TF alone is an appropriate or engaging progression model.

Again, it’s 100% random. You have zero control or input with it. At least with M+ loot I have some say with what drops as I know what level of dungeon to run to achieve what level of drop and I know which dungeon to run to target that specific dungeons gear set. TF on the other hand is completely and totally random. It’s just a dopamine hit… Nothing more.

Nice, congrats on your winnings.

I’m still waiting for these fabled massive 40+ item level titan forges to come my way.

Oddly enough I never seem to get them, and am just slowly gearing through world quests as it slowly scales up.

Yea it’s kinda wack and prefer the original system 2 expansions ago - This is my alt also and have all 400+ gear except trinkets and sadly, weapons which are 375

Hey my alt who I wont conveniently post on has zero titanforge gear and I have completed every mythic raid and have 415 ilvl all mythic raid gear drops. I love titanforging.

I guess this proves titanforging is okay.

Okay, please follow along.

The scrap-o-matic does destroy titan forged items. I know, because I am in the game and it says I can. So, my first paragraph stands firm, unlike yours.

Now, read carefully. You hate Titan-forged items. You hate the system that does the titan-forged items. You do not want it. Yet, you use the titen-forged items. Does any of that make sense of defying the system?

Short answer: no.

If you complain about a system and still use that system, then you are a hypocrite.

The “there’s always been RNG in loot” argument is getting old.

We know there’s always been RNG in loot. What there wasn’t was RNG upon RNG upon RNG in the loot. The loot dropped or it didn’t… It wasn’t: It dropped… Did it WF/TF? By how much? Did it socket? Did it tertiary?

To state that those are the same is straight up incorrect. I’m fine with RNG stopping at whether the loot drops. Or if we’re really going to absolutely require that there be some variability within the gear, then a capped version of WF/TF like in MoP and WoD. But completely and totally un-capped TF? With random sockets? And random tertiaries? No… I’m not ok with that.

That’s great, you enjoy the game your way and let others enjoy the game their way. I personally value content progression over gear progression, which is why I’m still a mythic raider despite it yielding negligible rewards compared to simply running 1 +10 per week and clearing heroic each week. That doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy logical goal oriented gear progression. TF on the other hand is just completely and totally random as to whether you’re going to get lucky and get super powered, or if you’re going to just get screwed.

Not to mention what it does to comparing logs or adding any level of competition between players who enjoy to parse.

That’s great, but this is a… you do you… and let others do them. What’s enjoyable for you, is not enjoyable for others. I find random power enhancements boring and completely un-engaging. Others (those pro-TF) love them, which is why we’re clashing here. It’d be one thing if they came out and stated that they simply enjoyed gambling for their progression, but instead they come out and act like I’m somehow crazy for wanting logical progression. Or better yet, act like I’m somehow just trying to stop “casuals” (w/e the hell that term means now) from getting gear.

A 420 with socket is better than a 435. Especially for wrists which are low stat budget.

My hunter has 425 wrists with the absolute worst stats on them, but I “have” to wear them anyway because they are an upgrade.

bro, you can only get titan residue from azerite items lol… you can destroy your titanforged item with the scrap o matic but it wont give you titan residue cuz its not azerite… are we playing the same game ?

secondly, me nothing using titanforged items AGAIN, sure you can say it defies the system in a way, but it doesnt contribute to my purpose of getting rid of it. Why ? Because Blizzard doesnt monitor how many players refuse to use titanforged items bc they don’t like it… so again, sure its ‘‘defying’’ the system in a way, but it doesnt contribute at all to my purpose of getting rid of it. So I’ll just use it to contribute to an other purpose, which is staying competitive gearwise.

Trinkets and rings (and I guess one handers for dw specs) are the exception. If you get a 425 ring and don’t equip it it will assume only your “ring slot 1” could have gotten a 425. If you get another 425 ring it will be like “your ring slot 2 hasn’t had a 425 yet so no trading”. Its a stupid system. If you get a 425 pair of pants and never equip them and another one drops you will be fine to trade.

If this was a single player game sure you can not do something like use overpowered preorder bonus item or whatever and no one will care. This is a “team” game though and I don’t want my raid leader to be like “I saw you got a 425 mage fuse why aren’t you wearing it and are at the bottom of the meters?”
