I got 3 425 titanforged items from m+ cache 3 weeks in a row and still hate titanforging

To the best of my knowledge it has to have been put in the slot. That is why people equip trinket and rings I’m both slots when they get one of a higher item level. Unless method and myself are wrong im sure that’s how it works.

As someone who engages in Mythic raiding, I personally don’t care if TF exists or not, because I don’t see powerful gear as a important reward.

You could be 415+ and never stepped into a Mythic raid or a M+ and I wouldn’t care, simply because gear isn’t the end. Having powerful gear makes pugging content easier, but if you don’t have the experience the gear is worthless.

Being 415+ doesn’t let you time a +20 Shrine key, kill Mythic Jaina, or solo 3+ people in WPvP. Gear is a part of that, but overall a marginal one, skill is what matters in those situations and all the TF WQ gear in the world can’t save you if you don’t know what your doing.

So for me, TF is neither here or there.

Again… It’s a competitive game… Me deleting an item that the system wrought actively harms not only my own progression, but my teams progression. To do so would be selfish.

Again, convince every other team I’m competing against to stop using them, or create a sub-category of rewards targeted towards those not using said WF/TF items and I’ll be there. But to act like I’m somehow not allowed to complain about a system I find detrimental to character progression despite utilizing the system? That’s just stupid.

Every player who obtained the legendary ring in WoD was forced to use the shipyard. Does that mean that because they used it… they’re no longer allowed to complain about it?

Ofc its working as intended. It intends to bring rng and temporary excitement and thats what its doing

What would deleting the gear do?

Genuinely curious what you think

While I agree with your premise, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a valid statement to make that TF degrades the character progression experience. It aids in turning it into a RNG slot machine upgrade system rather than a more deterministic targeted upgraded system.

They feel they didnt “earn” it. Its a system that digusts them. So take a stand and delete it then. Show blizzard that you dont like it.

Not really sure its irrational to hate something if you were benefiting from it. My father died and as a result i got a pretty sizable inheritence. I hate how i got it and that he died.

If i was competing in something, and i won via forfeit for whatever reason, id hate it even though i benfitted from it. I guess i am in the minority also then.

Yes i realize this is a loot system in a game. Point is im pretty sure its not irrational to hate something even though it benefits you from time to time.

Blizzard won’t know or care.

We are actively telling blizzard we don’t like it… Right now in fact.

I agree and this is why theres a debate, whether people prefer determined upgrades or rng

Congratz!!!

I take it back. Just deleted my m+ item and got a letter from a blue asking why I did it. Change is coming!

Lol as if it does anything at all

And im sure they will listen to the small minority of players… Remember what gutting LFR did on WoD? Did it get more people to raid?

Links - I want to see the 425s you got on your alts from doing world content.

It isn’t about world content or mythic dungens. It’s the whole idea of it. If I do a m10 shrine and get a conch why is it sometimes 25 item levels a socket and leach better than the last one I got?

I earned a conch. Not the 25 ilvls socket and leach.

The thread was concerning TF in general. I didn’t say WQ and I wasn’t talking about WQ -> 425 TFs… Those are indeed very rare.

The fact that is even possible is a problem, though.

If you want to say it is too easy to get 425 from mythic plus dungeons I will agree. But that is the problem with mythic plus dungeons, not with titanforging itself. Mythic plus dungeons give way way too much gear. Reduce the number of gear drops and make it harder to get titanforges you fix the problem most of you people have with titanforging.

People doing world content do not have problems with titanforging and neither for that matter do people who just do LFR.

Does not really have anything to do with what the system is about. My condolences.

This one is close or is on the mark, but it is based on the opinion of the person/team. I find it that if the competing team does not have enough people or is not up to the challenge. Then I find that as a win, with no guilt. It just shows how ill prepared they or they are not up to the challenge. Of course that is my opinion.
