TF is the epitome of receiving rewards for not doing the content… It literally gives you better rewards for doing lesser content. That’s not doing content for rewards… That’s playing a slot machine and letting luck decide if you’re a winner or not.
Just because something is beneficial towards my progress doesn’t mean it’s beneficial towards my gameplay.
TF adds literally zero gameplay value to my gaming experience aside from, at most, a hit of dopamine. That’s it. I prefer tangible rewards with specified goals, than random hits of dopamine. If you want random hits of dopamine… go play Diablo.

yup, only thing titanforging add is temporary excitement, barely any fullfilness

Uh…you noticed in his OP that he got those from the M+ cache right?
No, I get your point, I just don’t agree with it. You don’t have to “literally just explain things” to me that I already understand. Disagreeing with something and having a different opinion on it doesn’t mean I don’t understand it.
Really I sure spend a lot of time each day not doing content then. In order for me to get a piece of 425 titanforge gear I generally have to play 20 hours a week for 4 or more months.

TF also makes it much harder to prioritise stats etc. I might get the “bis” item at 400 from a dungen that I have been targeting for weeks then the next day get something with aweful stats but 425 with so much intellect on it that I can’t justify using my “bis”

You could play for 5 minutes a day and still potentially receive the exact… same… rewards…
Hence why people despise the RNG nature of TFing. It adds nothing to the experience. Just random dumb luck.

That already exists in the game. Each type of content has a base item level reward.

Yes I was referring to the loot trading rules under the personal loot system whereby if you have not got something of equal or higher ilvl for the same slot you cannot trade loot from bosses you that do kill together.
It doesn’t work that way on average. You are like looking at a 1/1000000 example and trying to say that is typical. It is not. Plus is it extremely hard to repeat that even if you did get that lucky first time.
So no don’t tell me I am not doing content.
No… I’m stating that RNG is RNG. While, as you correctly state, someone being full 425 for playing 5 minutes a day is insanely unlikely (lottery odds). Someone doing relatively straight forward content DOES have a good chance of getting BiS items. Everyone of my alts has a 425 piece. Some of them have 2. They aren’t exactly… rare.
In either case… the point was: TF is RNG. That’s what people don’t like about it. You have zero input on it. It just randomly happens. As such, it add literally nothing to my gameplay experience aside from a random dopamine hit. That’s it.
Personally, I prefer to have more defined rewards with specified tasks to achieve said goals. Not random dopamine hits. One feels like I’m playing an RPG, the other feels like I’m just gambling.
Edit: As for your argument that since you’re getting BiS items out of it therefore it must be good… Why not put a vendor in the center of SW/Org that sells ilvl 1000 gear. Surely that must be a good thing too right? After all, you’re getting BiS gear out of it? Or… maybe we can just assess whether we think the gameplay of such a system would actually be appropriate for an MMORPG.

Yet i bet you wear them. Plus M+ have a higher chance to warforge and titanforge.
Yes I do, idc either if you disagree, but your sentence saying “its stupid to say I hate the way I got this gear and still wear” is just so frustrating to read. I hate the way I got this gear for a reason but i still wear it for an other reason, which is staying on par with everyone else gear wise. So no its not stupid at all. Not wearing this gear solves nothing

It’s a competitive game. Handicapping ourselves for our own morals directly impacts our ability to compete. If you can convince every single team in the game to agree to DE their WF/TF loots or elect to auto de-WF/TF them… I’d do it… In a heartbeat.
Since you can’t… Then no… I’m not handicapping my team for my own specific enjoyment.

That’s not how it works. The game doesn’t care if you equipped them, or if you’ve deleted them. Just having owned the item at one point clears you to trade future items of equal or lesser item level.
Because rather it was was a mythic boss kill, a heroic kill, wq, warfront. Or a mythic + cache you know you “earned” it… You can lie to yourself all you want but not deleting it then complaining about it does nothing.

Deleting it does nothing either

This “fulfilment vs excitement” thing is so ephemeral I wouldn’t even date to have an opinion about it.
All I know is that the system is working as intended and it’s not nearly as random as people like to pretend it is.
