I got 3 425 titanforged items from m+ cache 3 weeks in a row and still hate titanforging

Lasin just help me out in understanding exactly how deleting/not wearing titanforged helps my cause ?

Let’s go back to your pizza. If you don’t like it and don’t eat it, do you really think the company will know you disliked the pizza ? No they won’t. Same thing for titanforging, If I refuse to wear those items, how is it helping my cause of getting rid of titanforging ?

Yes that is why I said the inheritance is of dubious benefit.

There are other and better ways to do that. such as valor points for example

And hence why I state that getting a piece of 425 gear is a dubious benefit to my gearing experience.

So delete it - isn’t this where we started ?

Ah yes. The OP is in the minority because you asked a guildmate what his opinion is. Lmao.

Nobody knows what the minority or majority wants or doesn’t want. Trying to use this to leverage your argument/opinion shows that you have a fairly weak opinion.

Regardless, having to pray for upgrades is horrible game design. It doesn’t matter if your casual or a hardcore player, nobody should have to log in and pray they get an ILVL upgrade on top of the gear they have to hope to get first. Give players some actual agency over their gear. Everything about this system is fully RNG. I’d love to see TF turned into a currency system or something like it that can allow players to set a goal for rewards as opposed to randomly getting them.

Get everyone I’m competing against to delete theirs and I’ll let you push the scrap button for me. Since they won’t… I can’t…

Not unless you want to explain to my team why they should still take me despite the fact that I’m actively working against our team goals.

Well lets see… what in the world could a person hate but still benefit from?

Excercise
Doing the dishes
Drinking water
Eating vegetables
Paying bills
Working
Getting a shot
On and on

Pretty much a lot of things have benefits but can be hated, but its pretty off topic.

Oh and TFing is definitely NOT always beneficial depending on what you already have or actually need.

A TF Cannonball Runner is still bad even at 425 for me.

If you are competing against others then that gear is of benefit to you and guess what if you are competing you are HAPPY to get it. Be honest here.

Depends on the person. I don’t hate any of those things.

That’s not even remotely true. Tons of mythic raiders who are competing with other guilds or other players hate the system. It requires you to get lucky, you can’t set a goal and achieve it you just have to pray and get lucky. You can view the twitter/social media of limit/method players as well as head into discord’s with world 100-500 players, you’ll find that most of them hate the system.

They don’t hate the system because it might give them an advantage, they hate the system because it requires you to be lucky for that advantage. A lot of people would prefer a currency upgrade system as opposed to TF.

They hate that others get the gear. They don’t hate when they get the gear.

OF COURSE IM HAPPY TO GET IT, MY OPPONENTS PROB HAVE SOME JUICY TITANFORGED TOO…I still wish that neither them or me had access to titanforged gear because it trades fullfilness for excitement

That doesnt disprove the point though. A person can hate something they benefit from. Most people do end up doing things they hate doing all the time for the benefit.

And you didnt address the fact that TFing really isnt always beneficial.

Of course they do. You can find people complaining about getting a random piece of gear all the time. Again, look at the social media of their individual players, you’ll find some posts about it.

Method players don’t care that some random casual they don’t even know exists can get gear. I don’t either personally. I care that in order to get this gear the requirement is to be lucky. You have to be lucky on top of being lucky, first you need to get the piece you want then you need to pray that it upgrades or forges. Many don’t prefer that over having a system that allows them to set a goal and reach it without luck.

The only RNG gearing should have is actually getting the piece you want, anything past that should be left to a currency system or something like it. Titanforging just throws on another layer of luck and praying for upgrades. Replacing it with a currency system would have a better outcome most likely.

What is your point. I never said no one hates what they benefit from. I said only the minority are like that.

Well so far, from the sample we have on this thread, it looks like you’re wrong, it’s the majority. Plus again its not irational

So you mean the majority in this thread claim they hate titanforging - yes I have seen some of their arguments.

Actually even in this thread the majority might not even hate titanforging if you ignore all the sockpuppets.

Lasin let’s put it this way. Here are 2 scenarios:

Scenario A: Titanforging exists. I use titanforged items because I try to compete vs other players who also have access to titanforged gear. But, it still hurts my soul cuz it resolves around luck and it trades fullfilment for temporary excitement.

Scenario B: No titanforging. My opponents do not have access to titanforged gear and neither do I. I love it because there is no luck involved and every item brings a sense of fullfilment. I earned it.

I prefer scenario B because I can still achieve my goal of staying competitive and because I prefer fullfilment over temporary excitement.

I’m being irrational here to prefer B even tho in scenario A I somehow benefit from titanforging? Makes no sense
