I don't work well with people

Asperger’s you see. Nothing that can be helped. How far you can pug with no mic is endgame for you. No top-level RBG. No heroic raids. It just sucks is all I’m saying.

Aren’t there any autism guilds? We would blow you smooth-typicals out of the water.

You sound like half of the people who play WoW.

Play a DPS and you don’t need to use a mic.

this appears to be objectively false…

I’m on the spectrum myself, and I don’t NEED a microphone to do raids or RBGs. Of course it helps I’m a fast typist, but to say it’s endgame with no mic is ludicrous.

All I need are a pair of headphones, and reading comprehension so I can read guides ahead of time to understand the fights and mechanics and or strategies. This sounds like an excuse.

im sure if you explain to the people recruiting you they will take you in unless you are playing key roles, like a tank that needs to communicate, i seen even healers dotn need to communicate all the time.

I only use a mic when playing with my son because his computer is upstairs and I in the basement next to my beer fridge, er, I mean garage.

Start an autistic only guild than or something.

Not true. Try base sitting and 2 stealth open on you and you gotta call it out and spin.

You just aren’t contributing in RBGs if you aren’t in discord. You aren’t calling Inc’s, you aren’t calling out CC so no overlap so you can finish the kill targets. You just aren’t able to contribute in an RBG effectively. No mic is like not even being in the team fight.

I didn’t even consider RBGs when I typed that cause I don’t even know a single person who has done one. Forgot they existed.

Fair enough. I think the best part of Cata is the introduction of RBGs.

most guilds just require you to be in discord to hear raid leader calls and strats before pulls, you dont have to talk.

better to find a guild than pug imo

Kind of an (unsuprisingly) tone deaf post. You think you are the only one?

Just explain to your guild. There’s always a few people who prefer not to use mic and just listen.
If that doesn’t work for them, they don’t work for you. Keep looking.

You don’t need to start an autistic only guild. Every guild in wow is already one.

You can manage fine without a mic, so long as you can do your job.

also aspie \o/

lots of raid guilds don’t care if you talk, just listen to instructions during raid

also yes, play dps too :stuck_out_tongue:

real hard thing for me have been trying to pvp (favorite activity) but networking and stuff has always been difficult

In 2013, they removed Asperger’s Disorder from the DSM. The latest DSM, the DSM-5-TR, states it should instead just be given the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Unless you’re the raid leader or officer really isn’t much reason to clog up DC with talking. And with boss mods even less reason to talk. Chat macros actually have worked better for me when I need to let group know something specific about an encounter. But that is so rare I can’t even remember last time having to do that.

Someone’s parents didn’t love them so now they are desperate for the approval of strangers… or perhaps just a middle child.

Either way “the DSM” thinks you are a sad case, so I will give you what you crave.

you are an incredibly smart person. Your comprehension of the DSM is amazing. Good job copy and pasting information that has little or no value to the actual discussion. You deserve positive affirmations. Your parents were wrong for not showing you attention

Edit: I see some triggered typing
