10M Ulduar has a ton of BiS gear, on top of doing 25M I also have to do 10M twice in order to have the best shot at getting all my gear but imo this basically is like Shadowlands raiding where i’m being forced to raid weekly multiple times in order to get gear which i’m personally not a fan of.
I don’t have the time to keep dedicating to Classic like this especially with how slow the updates are and how little resources are being put into by Blizzard.
This was fun in Vanilla 2019/2020 era but it’s getting kinda insane that Wrath in 2023 is going to be even more time consuming.
Blizzard, you need to simplify the way these loot drops work so people aren’t having to run Ulduar multiple times a week on different lockouts just for gear on a single toon.
It’s way too much and burnout will happen very quickly.
The only point of raiding in Wrath is to get BiS or close to the best gear, in Naxx you can’t even get into good quality groups without having most of the gear already.
It’s not about being sweaty, it’s about just being able to play the game at a moderate level.
I PvP as well, and half those 10M items are BiS that I have to now do just to be able to keep up with people in Arenas who will have them as well just like S5.
It’s a weekly reset.
The only way you would have to do double resets is if your guild plans on splitting for 10 man loot using alts to help with 25 man hard modes.
Imo its a positive to have more reasons to log on and play the game, especially when its beneficial to the strength of your character. If you werent raiding Ulduar youd basically either be doing the same dailies youve been doing for 3 months or youd be levelling an alt to raid Ulduar even more.
Id rather be able to raid 3-5 times a week than to not have much reason to play at all. If i wanted to not have much reason to play Id go play Era
See above. If you dont understand what split raids are… then trust me… they dont concern you
And if youre crying about them then thats on you lol. You dont HAVE to run splits. The guilds who do are ultra competitive. If you don’t have the time/inclination to be ultra competitive then you wont be getting server firsts, but youll still clear content. Seems fair…
If you understand split raids, what exactly are you asking Blizzard to do?
Each character can only get loot once a week. Split raids means, basically, half of a team plays on an alt character one day and lets the other half main characters get the loot, then another day the roles reverse. That is something that more hardcore guilds have always done throughout the history of WoW, even when personal loot existed in retail, which made split raids more complicated because of trading rules, but still possible.
