no one considers RS worth anything lol
There was a time in WOW, when you got new content like dungeons or raids and there the new gear did drop.
TBC was the epitome of this system.
Now people get a dungeon or raid on release and then farm it again and again for 2 years.

TBC had one new dungeon the whole time⦠lol
lazy filler till new xpac
In past expansions, there would be a long content drought between the last major patch and the next expansion. Season 4 of DF (and by extension, SL) fills that gap by giving you another goal to work toward, as well as making the older raids in an expansion relevant again
As has been said multiple times in this thread, we arenāt ālosing outā on new content with season 4, because the alternative compared to past expansions is literally nothing at all
The point is that blizzard didnt want to put the effort into making season four tier sets and a raid in the fourth patch of shadowlands. The playerbase lapped it up and then paid for the ten dollars more dragonflight xpac which showed blizzard they could get away with it. Its three patch xpacs from here on out.
As opposed to the 4+ patch expansions weāve had in the past, likeā¦uhā¦d-umā¦ā¦.
One thing I do like: I think itās cool that we can purchase a weapon visual for just one bullion. I really like Razzagethās bow, but I think I only ever got LFR and Normal tints. Being able to purchase the mythic coloration for 1 bullion is pretty cool, especially considering I donāt plan on playing the hunter enough to level up the actual bullion bow 14 ranks.
Bfa, legion, mop, cata, wrath, bc.
Im assuming youre not on blizzards payroll. You dont have to defend them for free.
Believe it or not, World of Warcraft now is an incredibly fun and engaging gameplay experience.
Reused content really isnāt a big deal, but having the same thing for too long at once becomes stale because you get tired of it, but if you play the game long you will eventually miss certain experiences enough that you donāt mind replaying them.
Iām still waiting to fight KilāJaden again, one of my favorite pulls in all of WoW
which time lol
Ah yes, the āyouāre just a shill your point is invalid and mine is impenetrableā line
Fair enough, I suppose pointing out the patch amount isnāt the actual relevant argument. Now consider how many of those extra raids were just one or two bosses that amounted to very little, and how little additional content was added alongside those raids. Wrath of the Lich King might have had 9 raids, but 5 of them are just one, maybe a couple more, boss encounters, 2 were rereleases of Vanilla raids (including one of the single boss raids), and one was just several boss encounters sequentially as a holdover until ICC came out. So that leaves Wrath with Ulduar and ICC for its full length, wholly original raids. And for overworld content? 3.2 addedā¦the Argent Tournament. Other than that it was the same world content from beginning to end. And ICC still lasted an entire year before Cataclysm, with only Ruby Sanctum adding a wet fart in the middle of it
Tomb of Sargaeras, obviously
What, you donāt want toilet bowl kilājaeden?
I know people want to pretend that āthis has always happenedā but no, this is the first time in the gameās history that a patch that didnāt introduce new content completely invalidated everyoneās gear.
A new tier of content such as a new raid, yes. But this is the first time a nothing patch has done it. If we wanted to play Diablo 4, weād be playing Diablo 4.
Mop and Cata were both 3 raid tiers.
And tbh if a patch like Trial of the Crusader was launched in retail as a full fledged tier I think people would crucify it. Plus launching a vanilla raid reskin and calling it a tier.
Sunwell was kinda a 0.5 tier since it just added on to tier 6 making it 8p.
I consider Legion 4 tier although some would argue 3 since EN and NH all share armor assets and have the meta achievements combined.
I feel like BFA is really the standout for 4 full length tiers, but based on an estimate release or TWW in Aug/Sept it also lasted about 5-6 months longer than DF. It also didnāt have tier sets which is a lot of art time.
So itās nuanced.
Iām seem to be in a vast minority who actually liked TOC. A āLittle to no trash, boss rushā was a breath of fresh air compared to hallway after hallway of trash packs. Shame it was so disliked that Blizzard never made another one.
I love zero trash raids lol, people donāt for some reason
Only 5 bosses.
Only 2 rooms, with 4 of 5 bosses in the same Blake circle room. The new dungeon was also in the exact same room.
Bosses were reused assets
End boss was lame.
Just the idea of holding a tournament complete with jousting on the edge of Icecrown and making it the focus of a raid tier was awful.
A lot of reasons for it to be disliked.
Did rewards from outdoor events just get nerfed into the ground?
