I don't understand how multiboxing is different that botting

If you used logical definitions, rather than blindly stuck to their EULA as it were a bible or something; you wouldn’t be so lost and confused. That is the last thing I will say to you, as I’ve got better things to do.

The EULA is what defines what is and is not allowed. I’m not the one making up my own definitions here. I’m not the confused one. You are arbitrarily deciding how to define things.

But I think you know this, and have no rebuttal to the hole you dug for yourself. Just like every other anti multiboxing zealot, you crumbled in the face of indisputable facts.

The difference between MBing and Botting is largely semantics if you ask me. Both involve a process in which you are not truly playing the characters via third party programs, one simply involves being in front of your keyboard and the other does not.

Ultimately Blizzard allows one and not the other, whether you think that’s right or wrong is up to you, but it’s unlikely anyone will convince you otherwise.

Just like how I view Level 60s ganking Level 20s, on PvP Servers :+1:

That’s a good comparison, except that you have the choice of going PVE to opt out. There are no multibox prohibited realms so they are a cancer everywhere.

Actually, it doesn’t matter how many times you beat this dead horse. The program is not deciding to mimic your actions. It is passing through your actions.

Botting is when there is no Character 1, when there are no current player actions to mimic.

Let me try a weird little analogy.

You have several mannequins made that look just like you. You wear a helmet that reads the movements you’re making and transmits them to each mannequin so the mannequins all perform the same action. You do a little dance routine. They do the same routine, making it all look choreographed. You trip and fall on your face. So do they.

Multi-boxing. No automation of their movements. You have to make each decision to move and make the movement in order for them to move. They are not programmed to make the move. The software simply transmits the single command of that moment.

Now, instead, you have a robot that looks like you. You write a program (or download one) with all the steps of a dance. You tell it to start the program and it starts dancing. You sit down. It’s still going through the steps of the dance. You go to work. It’s still dancing. You stand next to it and do the same dance. It’s still dancing. You trip and fall flat on your face. It’s still dance.

Botting. Automation of the entire sequence of activities removing the need for you to act.

Here is what you are missing: if you move forward, 4 of your 5 characters will walk into a tree or a wall and not go forward. Or worse: 2 of them walked off a cliff and are dead now.

The multiboxing software does not change your keystrokes into the “best decision” for each of your characters. Instead you must actively play ALL FIVE AT ONCE.

I don’t know how people do it. Obviously, you OFTEN have to do different things on different characters. It’s simply impossible to play all of them in different locations, with the same actions.

True, if everyone accepts Drain’s definition of “cheating”.

Unfortunatly, nobody does. So Drain is talking to themself.

It takes some skill, and patience, and repetition.

I look at it like a big complex puzzle. How to move each piece in order to finish.

Adds an extra layer of challenge to the game, because no matter what anyone else says. Me boxing multiple tools will never be as effective as having each played by an equally skilled player.

Actually a fair number of other people are also against multiboxing/botting, but sure, pretend it’s just me if you like.

Most people do not.
They either do the mimic thing, or a number of people simply dual box, and kind of do the healer in tow thing, or dps in tow.

I know 1 person that actually plays and will individually manipulate 10 toons, and do it effectively.
I am sure there are other people that can, but i do not personally know them.

Me? It is totally beyond my grasp, and pulling around and babysitting mimics is uninteresting not to mention something i dont feel like micromanaging.

multiboxers pay 75 bucks a month. it ain’t going away.

One involves a person the other does not.

Wrong, you can multibox without programs.

I don’t use any programs when multi boxing i simply switch between my hunter and druid. Druid only needs to throw heals up on the pet as he tanks 5 to 6 mobs at once

Do you read? If no program it’s called multiple accounts.

You can’t multibox without a program.
Why? Because then it’s called something else. Multiple accounts.

Ill say it again.

Program = cheat = multibox
No program = pay to win = multiple accounts

well, you are 100 % wrong. but keep trying champ. you can multibox without any additional software at all.

Without any software not provided by Blizzard I can have multiple accounts logged in, have the windows tiled on my screen, put the other accounts on /follow and easily switch between windows. I could have say a Miner, Herablist, and a Skinner all grouped and following each other around Minning, skinning, and picking flowers.

Is the above multi-boxing? I’d say it is and it doesn’t require any software not provided by Blizzard.

Oh, and there are addons on the twitch app that will let you coordinate quests, etc.
