Sorry bud, squirming around isn’t going to help you.
It is interesting to see people claiming that having complete control of 5 characters at your beck and call isn’t a significant advantage over having one character, and are actively saying it is worse(when in the situations that are worse you can just play one character instead). It’s fun seeing the mental gymnastics for it,
right because i just proved you to be talking about nothing in the attempt to seem to be constructing an argument against why multiboxing is pay to win
it all boils down to blizzard saying its allowed, which in their original stance https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/11704
they had to reassure the player that what they were doing was not considered exploitation of the game
Wow, you’re so flustered you’re rambling now.
Sucks to be you.
Nobody’s saying it’s not a significant advantage in particular circumstances. We’re also saying where the disadvantages are. The original topic of the thread was asking how multiboxing was different than botting, which is the primary concern.
I don’t multibox nor do I care. The only time I don’t like multiboxers is when it’s obvious it’s a bot.
Sure, but being allowed doesn’t mean that it’s not an advantage.
It would be like if I said “being 7 ft in basketball is an advantage” and they said “the rules say it’s okay to be 7 feet so it’s not an advantage”
How is multiboxing an advantage?
right and thats what im arguing. its a clearly provable advantage that others mistakenly argue against
multiple characters being controlled by one player
How is that an advantage?
Being able to form your own groups at any time you feel like it seems like a pretty significant advantage to me. Not having to deal with the social aspects of grouping seems like an advantage to me. Getting to keep all the loot that drops seems like an advantage to me.
one player has access to 5 characters that can each do 1 character’s worth of dps, healing, tanking, or any sorts of (not automated) things
You’re still being intentionally dishonest. You’re suggesting there are only advantages, and in every situation, whereas the reality is different. There are very big disadvantages, and the advantages are in specific and largely irrelevant situations.
So are tanks and healers pay to win?
Also the loot still has to be split between multiple toons, so…
I think he has entered bad faith territory and is being difficult for the sake of being difficult.
Healers and tanks can also do this, without having to pay 5x the amount or run a rather clunky software. I’ve tried multiboxing with just two characters and it was awful. I didn’t want to do it anymore after that. If I was piloting two characters, I’d do what I said above - have a healer follow the main that I’m leveling.
And how is that an advantage?
please be more specific
im suggesting there are significant advantages only grantable by paying for it
in most situations
yeah to this
obviously
incorrect. its in nearly every situation
It’s an advantage. It’s just not a universal advantage, and comes with disadvantages.
