This might be an issue with a lack of information presented to people at a base level. If we’re assuming people don’t use addons, especially new players, then they probably wouldn’t have any idea that most of the rares exist let alone that they might be spawning or despawning in X minutes. So, maybe the fix is actually in that direction and not in timers itself, I don’t know.
Having rares that you can eventually out gear and kill is good for the players journey, just like having to find a group to overcome challenges is good for the game. trivializing rares tarnishes these elements.
I suppose it can be said that if they’re despawning before a person can ever find them, then that is an issue too.
I don’t really have a clear winning solution for this stuff.
Well, I’d like to see that kind of future approach to previous expansions, however; for some reason Blizzard has some bad takes regarding legacy, like Mythic for BFA and SL that doesn’t have Legacy yet because they want a 2 expansion delay before adding that…Lets be real most Mythic raiders don’t use those transmogs…they don’t care too much, Mythic is already a really small %, now try to check the % of that % who cares about transmog being their accomplishment for 2 years before anyone else can solo or attempt some of those bosses.
We´ve been asking for Nzoth fight changes for 1.5 years now…those fights have a lot of issues due to the legendary cloak, returning / new players can’t do it…
Never underestimate a goose my friend. They will target you for simply being a football field away from them and then proceed to chase and attack you relentlessly until THEY think THEY have had enough.
A Crow can be reasoned with. A Goose cannot.
(edit because 5 yards is not enough radius to showcase a gooses perception)
Any type of legacy content Blizz doesn’t seem to like. They refuse to go back to make things more friendly to newer players. It’s like once an expansion is done they refuse to address anything with it and simply say “Its done, no more work needs to be done.”
It’s bad enough that they’ve created FOMO during when legacy content was still current (looking at you OG mage tower skins and fated raid jelly cat mount.) that people new/returning from long haitus to the game will be disappointed they can’t get anymore. FOMO is another thing entirely though. If I hadn’t been playing for years and decided just now to pick up WoW I’d probably not be encouraged to play because some of the neat rewards I want are forever gone or impossible because of how legacy content works right now. Rares in Shadowlands are an extreme pain.
I can’t grasp that you are telling us you think it’s a convincing argument that people will be able to solo these the expansion after next. Is that you, Ion?
