Totally asinine. I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer through time-locked content. The only difference between getting it now and getting it 3 weeks from now is that you don’t waste your time like a chump.
But unlike raid gear this is just a silly time sink. Zero skill involved.
Right. Because time is so valuable these days.
To lazy? People could call you names too because you chose to stay after the duplicitous advertisements, so don’t be obnoxious. Those races should never have been locked behind rep grinds in old content. Allied Races locked behind rep grinds after the game was purchased was a large factor of people quitting the game.
Typical “gots mine” American.
I have the allied races, I see no reason why people should have to go back to Legion to grind rep to get them.
Its bad for the game. Its like you enjoy tedious content just so you can have something others don’t.
And rep grinds are not something non-lazy people do. Lazy people play wow, period, all of us. You are just as lazy for not doing something off your behind in real life.
Excuse you. I’m from New Zealand, you obnoxious Englishman.
Didn’t even make a time is money joke. Other Goblin is right, hand over your Goblin Membership Card.
Didn’t I beat you up once?
It dose demotivate me to want to unlock things in the future. Knowing this now, whatever it is will be free for all eventually anyway so may as well not bother if the requirements are annoying just wait and come back later. If I’d known they would be free for all eventually I never would’ve done the requirements to unlock mechagnome. I hated mechagon island. But whatever, I’m happy for those that get to play them now.
Only in your dreams pal.
Stop intentionally trying to stir up rage, you know full and well your OP is not talking about rep grinds during COVID 19. You think people who quit are going to just come back because of a shut down? Nope, most people are saying show me the changes to this game or you won’t ever get a dime again from me.
Well, that is the gameplay for you but it isn’t for everyone else. I like that allied races are free. We grind enough as it is in this game. Stop trying to force others to play the game in the way YOU like.
This. People complaining about the removal of rep requirements are either missing or glossing over this.
Completing the war Campaign for Mag’har and Dark Iron Dwarves, or completing loremaster for Suramar is still gonna be a bit of a slog. OH, and the Mechagon quest line is still time gated. So. Not exactly free.
If this was the case for almost anything else I would agree with you, but the idea of races being gated was just wrong in the first place.
Why are you so worried about what other people are doing? Mind your own business.
Why are you so worried about me being so worried about what other people are doing?
Mind’ja bizness.
Be careful here, you might start to find out things you’d rather not know…
I have the rep to unlock all of them and I think I’ve done two lol. I don’t care about allied races and never will.
Good for the people who want them though and hate rep grinds.
Wait, the allied races will be unlocked by default in Shadowlands? Can I get the source? This is excellent news for returning players like myself who really want to try them but haven’t been subbed long enough to grind the reputation needed when they initially released.
Grinding for things should be extra or if you want to really maximize your character.
Look at Vanilla. There was a special Wintersaber mount that took almost a month of everyday grinding to get. It wasn’t required, but it was extra, like you could get other mounts.
Same with that drake in BC. People grinded that rep because it was extra and a way to really show you went above and beyond.
None of those things were a feature. They were bonuses. and not something expected with the game.
When they shove the LF Draenei in my face in every AD for the game, well yeah I’m going to assume it’s just like the other new races.
The story quests are fun and totally fine. But I didn’t need to get exalted with the exodar to make my Draenei back in BC. So the precedent had been set in 2007. You introduce a new race, it should be available from day one.
