I don't know which to use, WoW1 or WoW2

I have a question. I have one account, but on the Beta + Stress Test login screen it had a drop down menu that says, " wow1 and wow2". If I only have one account, which do I use? I’m asking in here because it said it was monitored by support.

When you’re at the launcher, the drop down above the “Play” button should be divided into two sections, Live and In Development.

You should see the Beta and Stress Test option near the top under the “In Development” section. Select that then click Play.

No I know that screen, Ok let us say you get disconnected, it shows you that block that says that you’ve been disconnected. It’s that screen after you hit the ok button. It’s right between the account name and the password block. Do you know which screen I’m talking about?

Do you mean the old in-game login screen?

yes, that’s the one I’m talking about.

Not too sure what to tell you then. I just tried logging into the beta (I’m only in the stress test, not the actual beta) and when it dumps me to that screen (since for me there are no realms up yet), it has a blank account and password field. From there, I tend to just exit and re-load from the launcher.

But if I try my login info there, it gives me the option of WoW3 or WoW4 (both drop me back out as there are no realms up for the stress test yet).

Personally, I’d just recommend using the launcher. When the stress test was running last time, it automatically logged you in to choose a server. You didn’t have to choose a specific WoW account.

Ok so when I get disconnected during the test and end up on that screen, I should just exit out of there and use the current day launcher then? Thank you.

Ever since Launcher was introduced, it’s been the preferred/recommended way of running WoW. To do otherwise may cause problems with debugging issues etc. Unless one has a very familiar understanding of the product, and I’d say Classic is a brand new product not an evolution of the previous that we’ve seen for every other WoW release, it’s all new. So yeah use Launcher.

one of the accounts might be a starter edition or something. you can verify this by going to your account management page. the easiest way to do this is to open the launcher, select WoW on the left, and click the Options button under the WoW logo and choose manage account.

Ok I just did that and it’s weird. I shows that account that I have and then it lists that I have 2 Legion ptrs, I actual should have my one account , the Classic Beta-Stress test and the legion ptr. That’s really weird.

the stress/beta shows up as a PTR account so that’s normal

Ok, I didn’t know that, thank you.
