While I can agree some people will do this, there are many players who already have the gold and the mats saved up to just buy everything as soon as they get the character boosted.
I was mostly talking about new players.
But according to Blizzard the boost is for people who didn’t play Classic and want to jump into ‘TBC content’. Seems a jerk thing to do to deprive them of all the things they would have accumulated on that 1-58 journey and send them to Outland I’ll-prepared. Or maybe they’re just taking Illidan’s message to heart. And don’t get me start on what a jerk he was.
Oh, yeah. The “new player who just wants to play with friends” that Blizzard keeps telling us about. I guess that guy will have to do things the hard way right? Doing all that will probably take as long as just leveling the regular way. Especially since they’re nerfing xp requirements.
You’re not seeing the big picture. Create a mass of players desperate for gold, and give bots a ready to farm machine. A match made in heaven.
I’m sure he will do things the hard way, there is no way he will actually buy gold, no way at all, specially since he leveled all the way to 58 oh wait … he paid to skip that.
This already exists through dungeon boosting and GDKP. The classic “community” have already made an environment that allows bots to thrive.
How exactly is boosting creating an environment of mass people greedy for gold?
That already exists now. Boosts aren’t going to make it worse lol.
You’re completely making things up and making false assumptions.
IF people enjoy the game, they’ll play it more. Not everyone enjoyed classic, or 1-58. However, it doesn’t mean they won’t enjoy 58 to 70.
You’re saying no one using a mage-boost is buying gold?
Ease up there Captain Conspiracy. People are talking about using retail as a slur, not some RL ethnic stuff.
Sweat haven’t seen people make connections like this unless Elon Musk tweets and people are trying to read into so much that they imagine things that aren’t there.
I think this is going to happen either way if Blizzard doesn’t do anything about gold selling.
Epic flying, GDKP runs, etc. TBC Classic will have plenty of reasons to buy gold for people who are desperate and don’t want to farm it.
Which isn’t only going to be the people who couldn’t be bothered to level to 58.
Gold selling is just something Blizzard needs to do something about, regardless of the arguments about boosting.
LOL. The cringe is hard in this one. Dudes just searching for something to be woke about.
Nah, woke people are some of the biggest haters of this group. Go enjoy your Goblins and Ferrengi and Prequel Star-Wars Banking Clan with their giant noses, and keep on hating!
Dammit…
Now I can’t unsee it.
OP loves it, swapping out goblin with that group, implying people are RMT if they are pro-boost and just calling such people greedy.
LOL.
The gold buying boosting way of doing things is already here. By YOUR demographic.
A lazy, gold buying, level boosting, time avoiding, tedious complaining, flow chart following demographic that is nothing but whiny and lazy when things get a little challenging.
I’m not saying it hasn’t happened, I’m just saying I personally have never seen or heard someone say “I don’t have time to level”.
Usually it’s just something along the lines of not wanting to spend literal days of play time in a version of the game many people don’t enjoy to get to the part of the game that a lot consider the best the game had ever been.
Ferrengi adapted great smell and hearing.
That 1-58 experience is as much a part of the game as what comes after. At least according to the Blizzard devs of 2007. But sadly they’re not there anymore.
