'I Don't have time to level' argument

im not even gonna argue about you about the boost, i know thats pointless based on what I’ve seen from you. i was just pointing out how stupid it was to refer to other players as people you will never see or talk to.

I am gonna buy the boost and you will 100% never interact with me in game, ezpz

And hey just like in RL that doesn’t mean i want to interact with everyone in WoW.

I want a 70 boost, I have a life, different than you basement dwelling neckbears.

less of a life than me if you aren’t willing to pony up some real cash from my high paying job and demand an attunement boost.

Oh I’d pay some real cash for the attunements, but what I really want is to pay even more for warglaives to my wife’s son.

heh wait till your wife’s kid sees my youngest of 15’s season 1 boosted gladiator mount

You can tell this is true because he said it. With his ASTOUNDING 9500 achievement points.

This is your brain on retail.

No way. Classic was a breeze with World Buffs and the walk through guide. Had things been any more time consuming like the original and at patch experience, people wouldn’t have been able to handle it.

If anything TBC Classic is following in Classic Vanilla’s footsteps.

Um… achievements were not added until wrath.

Also - many people don’t have the same account now than they did back then - especially with the merge.

This was like my third account? lol

Did your Big brain tell you to capitalize the B?

Well… they are offering a boost, and it was announced when they annouced TBC. So no, folks can just jump right in at launch.

Needed? No. Convenient? Absolutely.

Boosts have proved to be popular in retail. I suspect it will be in TBC. Hence, it is favored.

The argument that something is ‘popular in retail’ isn’t a particularly good one. Is that really the design philosophy Blizz should apply to Classic servers?

Maybe you could make a business argument, but I believe what little short term gain they have will lead to long term losses as boosts degrade the experience and the community, and reduce players’ investment and commitment to their characters. The turnover rate in TBC is going to be massive.

Blizzard is in the business of making money, if you haven’t noticed.

Yes and I believe this is a bad business move.

But even if it wasn’t…that doesn’t defend everything they do. That’s the difference between 2004 Blizzard and 2021 Activi$ion Blizzard. The old company always put the game first, and the profits were a result of creating the best product possible. Whereas these days it’s about milking a player base who don’t know any better…at the cost of a quality product.

This is my favorite argument and a huge part of the reason most mmos suck. If you dont have time to play an mmo well too bad. Go play a Moba or an fps. MMOrpgs are a time sink and if you don’t have time you shouldn’t be on an even playing field with someone who no life’s the game.

I am sure there are people that would find it convenient to boost to 70. Convenient for an attunement purchase unlock. Convenient for a item shop with currency purchases. All that is great convenience…

But then again why play the game when you can just pay the game.

But I digress.

Convenience > Effort
You are right… lets focus on convenience.

WRONG BIG BRAIN

Those whom want convenience don’t belong in classic wow. :pancakes:

I wonder.

Will those who are against this business practice vote with their wallet and un-sub?

Will they just brush it off and keep playing, regardless of their beliefs?

Will they bite the bullet and pay for a boost, effectively co-signing to this business practice?

We’ll see in TBC!

You’re making up a bunch of stuff and getting mad about it.

I never liked this argument personally, even as a pro-booster myself… not having time to level always sounded dumb to me. While I will be boosting, it’s not for said reason of, “not having time”
