Well yes there’s an in-between. That’s why there are dozens of different difficulties. But being good, your potential, is not something you earned. You can value it, but the idea that I have to value it too is silly. I can (and should) respect your valuations without sharing them. But if you’re dismissive, there’s no reason for the other side to be respectful.
Except it is. Because you just said:
So if there are varying degrees between “you’re a Mythic raider” and “you suck and can barely do World Quests,” there are also varying degrees of “you’re a natural” and “you can’t do this at all.”
Know what those varying degrees are? Practicing, learning and doing varying levels of content.
Basic human respect and support should always win out over selfish jealousy. You even said so yourself. So I’m not sure what point was being made here.
You were born with fast reflexes. You did not earn them. You can be dismissed just as easily for “not earning” it as they can.
At the end of the day, your feeling that your skill entitles your feelings to be put first - that your AOTC stuff should stay rare and special - while the feelings of others are dismissed, is just a feeling with no more validity than anyone else’s.
Maybe they’re not. Maybe they paid for one thousand-dollar item they really wanted, because it was rare and special. And for the third time now I think TCGs were a mistake, but that has nothing to do with whether, after the fact, they ought to devalue those items. I think gambling in general is a bad habit, but that doesn’t mean I think casinos should not have to pay their jackpots to those who won them.
He’s my perspective…
Adding promotional items via gambling from buying trading cards was freaking stupid.
Except we can and do practice reaction time. We can and do practice fights in this game. We can and do learn and improve.
Science:
While the speed of signals through nerves doesn’t change with practice, practice improves the coordination of complex signals between the nerves, also known as muscle memory. Your brain cells can adapt to communicate differently to make these activities more automatic. The real key to reaction time is practice.
And it’s still special to them. Someone else having it doesn’t negate that. Said person had the item longer than new person.
Your argument seems to be based on faulty logic and the perspective seems off a bit to me.
So you’re saying I was born an artist and a writer? Those abilities were in fact NOT instilled in me by my grandmother pushing me to purchase a book instead of a toy at target when I was very young? That my inspiration was put into me at birth instead of collectively improved and expanded over the years because I had an interest in the arts due to family influence? You’re saying I just picked up a pencil one day and spit out good poses and accurate facial features?
Cause I can tell you now I have a hoard of old art and thousands of notebooks full of old art and writings that are messy and inaccurate in terms of anatomy and wordsmithing that would beg to differ with this “Born with it” rhetoric.
Items obtained from earning within the game, such as AOTC mounts, should never come back. There is a difference between items that were originally obtained outside the game to items obtained within the game.
I do not have fast reflexes, lol. I’ve said that before. You are just arguing in bad faith.
They have a problem and so do you for defending it.
I’m literally waiting for the response that says I was born with the ability to write and draw like I was baby Leonardo DaVinci or toddler Stephen King. Cause man if I was born with it then why didn’t my parents make bank off selling my scribbles and stick figures or publishing my early 3rd grade poems that I did for an assignment? Surely they’d be highly detailed and worth something if I was born with it.
This applies to AOTC too.
Not everybody can be Leonardo DaVinci, no. You can improve your ability to draw, but that’s not the same thing. If you were born with fast reflexes, you can do mythic+. You can improve and do even higher keys. If you were not, you can still improve, but mythic is probably off the table.
This genetics justification for your misery is utter nonsense.
You’re not born a M+ player. Reflexes can be honed.
Unless you’re born with a physical disability that actually impedes you playing games, which is a whole different ballpark than whatever you’re whining about.
I think it’s good practice to give away all rare items, entirely because it gives us so many -able forum threads.
They gave the Spectral Tiger FREE to literally EVERYONE in bloody CHINA. And then China kicked Blizz out. Yeah, no, I think they can offer the Standard or Swift Speccy to North America ANY 'OLE TIME NOW !
I never understand why people care so much for this ugly mount. It’s nothing special, it looks ancient and offers nothing but a reminder that people just wanted to have it in the old days.
This is a rare instance, where they should release a new version of it with 2020+ graphic standards. All of the old mounts should have been updated a long time ago.
They kinda did that with the Ash’Adar mount and another on the cash shop. Not quite the same, but definitely up to date spectral tiger mounts.
Taiwan. And that’s because it was never available there at all before. Thus, why it was a promotion for them and not us.
Tears from people like OP sustain me. Cry more.
I get where you are coming from in regards to TCG stuff being special because it’s rare and now ‘unobtainable’ but I don’t agree with you.
Before I get into why I don’t agree, I first want to address this ‘thanks for your opinion. i feel the opposite. you can stop posting in my thread now thanks’ you just wrote. The moment you decided to take your belief/opinion/viewpoint into the forums you invited people to have their own discussion about it. If you don’t want people posting on your thread, don’t make a thread about it. If you don’t want people having a different opinion to you then don’t talk about your opinion. By speaking about this you have invited everyone else to talk about it. Just saying. shrug
But on the way I disagree with you, I spent my allowance on TCG cards for a long time, especially on the War of the Ancients packs because I desperately, DESPERATELY wanted the Fel Drake. I bought so many packs and never got it, do you know how devastated I was when they stopped making the tcg backs all together? And then to search them up online and see they had skyrocketed in price, to amounts I’d never be able to afford. I felt so blessed to be able to acquire the Fel Drake through twitch, it’s literally filled a ‘hole’ in my life.
I understand if I had gotten before, I might’ve been miffed that people just got it for watching 4-8 hours of twitch, but to be honest… I don’t imagine I would’ve been. I don’t view this game as a pissing match like some other people do. I don’t see having rare/valuable/tcg items as the end-all-be-all (or however that phrase is spelled). To be frank, people who have this view of ‘I don’t want rare things put into the game because it decreases their rarity and value’ are just people who want to say their dick is bigger when we all know everyone’s got a micropeen
