For everyone that took off work for tbc prepatch where there’s not even a prepatch event… Get rekt
Not obvious enough for these people it seems.
Are people upset because they are missing a few hours of leveling? A few hours is not the end of the world.
Define “a few.” That’s not what I’d call 7ish hours.
I just don’t get why people are surprised.
I also don’t get why people plan time off for patch/xpac release when literally every single patch/xpac release over the past 15 years has been delayed or a total mess in one way or another.
Do you really think “this time” will be any different?
2 weeks warning. TBC launch isn’t going to be much better. If you’re going to take a day off, take the following day off.
Yeah yeah, it’s still “unacceptable”
There’s honestly so many talking points to be had here…i feel the attention this deserves only to end with a ban just isn’t worth rolling the dice all things considered. But I do admire the pointing out here, good eye.
Imagine if you ordered a pizza and it showed up 8 hours late. It would be ok to be a little upset lol. I think what were seeing here is all the pent up frustration from blizzard constantly failing to listen to or communicate with players over a long period of time though.
Failing to listen? Seriously?
You do realize that the primary reason for the massive delay was because Blizz listened to its players?
The delay was due to problems related to Blizz trying to give the players what they want - the opportunity to progress into TBC while also staying in the Classic Era. This is something Blizz has never done before… and accomplishing it is not a trivial matter, tech-wise.
Blizz could have ignored players clamoring to stay in Classic Era and saved themselves a ton of problems.
Players complained about the price of cloning… Blizz listened and cut the price by $20.
Players complained about not having instant mail… Blizz listened and gave it to us.
Players complained about the instance cap… Blizz listened and removed it.
Complain all you want about the facts… but please, don’t say Blizz doesn’t listen to its player base. It does. It may not give us everything we ask for, but they do listen.
