In the meantime, those wanting strictly upgrades would have gotten 23910541058012 of them. But we’re the bad guys for wanting a look for just as long, if not longer.
they cant even wait a week for upgrade that one item slot but I have to wait years for it to be soloable. Perfect logic
Wait years, and even then, it’s not a guarantee that you’ll be able to due to boss mechanics.
Buddy, you’re playing a video game with the rest of us. Trying to belittle people by calling transmog barbie dress up is a pretty stupid jab lol.
most elitist attitude, imagine worrying about who gets items on and LFR setting.
It’s the equivalent of me checking your place in the meters and arguing that bis trinket should go to a better player when you are dead last.
They might be able to wait a week, but everyone rolling need on all they can roll need on can turn that week into the full season never getting that upgrade, consistently losing out to people rolling for mog might be what sets some of these off.
You should not have to wait for it to be soloable to get what you are after, but at the same time, is it really fair for those looking for upgrades to have to go for the full season without?
friend you don’t have to wait a week to upgrade all of your gear, do you think there’s some special sauce that the geared people have that just makes us geared? you can gear by just playing the game. M+ is far superior and takes less time than clearing f ull raid. You can outgear lfr on day 1 of playing an alt.
I understand not everyone has the time, but I cant play my game worrying about everyone else’s life choices.
Problem is that you’re competing for gear that you don’t need as a combat upgrade.
This can be very frustrating for players who are just trying to gear up vs players who’re just after mogs.
There needs to be a solution where rolling for transmog actually matters since the need roll just subverts it.
By your logic you are telling others how to play the game? Did you pay for their sub did you pay for me sub?
You did not therefore I can play how I chose and I chose to do LFR for mogs and will need on any item I can. Coz is my right I pay for it. Blizzard give enable the need option for me so I am using it
Don’t like it then go play something else.
This is no different than doing the same in Normal, Heroic, or Mythic.
Problem is that you’re competing for gear that you don’t need as a combat upgrade.
That’s not a problem, though. If I’m 485 and tearing up an easier difficulty I want my moggies.
Well you’re rolling for transmog.
Not upgrades, why would you perceive it as an issue?
I don’t want it going to somebody who cares about it so little that they don’t even enchant it.

I understand that frustration of not getting gear, but that feeling people get when they don’t get an upgrade is the feeling I get when I run LFR for the 25th time and don’t get the item I wanted because it keeps going to some undergeared alt I’ve never seen before.
You know what I do? i move on and try again on the 26th week.
You get stuck on who got it, and you think that if i wasn’t there, you would have gotten it, but the truth is if i wasn’t there, there be some other player “trying to gear up” who rolled, and might have won just the same, thus keeping you from the very same item still.

True but this thread isnt about the solution (even though many ppl have posted ideas about solutions, myself included) it’s about how players gearing up feel entitled to exclude players with gear from doing the content because they feel robbed.
If geared characters stopped coming, the content will just be difficult, there will be many more rolls on gear since it will only be full of people needing upgrades and i will still be there, just on some ratty alt, rolling need “taking your loot” instead of passing on stuff i didn’t need on my main.

I know, I have done such on like 13 characters, but RNG is RNG, and sometimes the slot you need the upgrade for just does not drop.
This is why, for me, gear from LFR is more icing then goal, I don’t go in for mogs or upgrades, if I get them, I get them, if I don’t I don’t, I go in more for the story/quests to maximize my characters (the helm enchants from current raid). In fact the only issue I have had is when I, and most others that could use, have rolled for mog but then one rolls need and wins.
Not everyone plays for the meta.
Nor should they be punched down on when you come in to roll off on an upgrade you’re not even going to use.
Which is why we need some sort of solution for mog rolls.
Not enchanting gear isn’t “off-meta”.
It’s just incorrect.
Your prefrence of gameplay doesn’t entitle you to loot more than someone else.
No, but it entitles me to equal opportunity.
429 ilev, dead for 90% of the fight, no enchants? Equal chance at loot. 485 and doing 20% of overall? Same chance. Guy who blew up the raid with a bomb twice? Also the same.
Hence the need for a system that satisfies mog chases that doesn’t conflict with combat upgrade rolls.
