I do not understand how people roll need when wearing more powerful gear

I do not understand how people in pugs, regular, heroic and such while wearing higher tier gear like mythic, heroic etc. and rolling need on lower tier items.
like wearing hero and rolling need on champion

I do not have that option. I just do not understand how it is possible. I see so many people winning need rolls and not needing it, in any way, while others actually need the item. So much so, i started checking peoples gear out after they won, regardless of class.

Only time I really try to do that is if the group I’m stuck with is just really mean.

I’d blame Blizz more for just allowing it in the first place

ilvl is temporary, mog is forever

Transmog.

They should have the higher level loot give you the appearances for the ones below it IMO. Clear mythic and get the appearance for all 4 difficulties for each mythic piece acquired.

Yeop. Transmog is the answer for most of that.

While great on paper, it would also lessen how many players run LFR in general. It’d be a double-edged sword.

They should go one way or the other. If they want us there, let us need on any usable item.

It’s very simple.

Blizzard doesn’t care.

Everyone in your group took part in killing the raid boss, therefore everyone in the group is entitled to a chance at the loot. If they are able to roll the dice for “need”, then the game has determined they are eligible. You don’t get to determine who is eligible for the loot or more eligible for the loot.

Each different level of the tier set - LFR, normal, heroic, mythic - comes in different colors. Some people are specifically doing LFR for the chance to get the set piece they want in the color they want for transmog purposes. You may not like the reason they hit “need” but they have just as much right to the loot as you do since they participated in the kill. You just unfortunately lost the roll, and that’s how it goes sometimes.

Nor should they.

It’s a non-issue. Anyone who participates in content has a right to a reward. If you want determinative loot, find a guild and build a team together. Otherwise, you roll the dice equally with strangers every time. That’s the trade-off for avoiding the effort of organization and scheduling.

I’d argue that the promotion of greedy practices among players is more of a detriment to the overall player experience but then putting quality of life improvements for loot systems would lower Blizzard metrics of player engagement.

How is it greedy to want to actually get something for your time? Should people run LFR only out of the goodness of their hearts?

I know that your entire “personality” (and I use the term loosely) is hating Blizzard so your stance is always going to be blaming them for whatever complaint anyone ever has, but try to apply some common sense for once in your life.

I think it’s pretty greedy when people want to bar others from content rewards.

I’ll 100% use them longer than you.

I’m not saying that but if we got a separate currency system that goes strictly towards transmog then there wouldn’t be any conflict over loot…or at least not as much in this case.

They would probably have to make it a weekly currency in order to keep players running the raid, but it’s not a terrible idea.

It’d give me a reason to come back.

Currently after getting the LFR set I have none.

That would really be the best solution.

Owning higher tier should automatically reward the lower tier mog, but be careful what you wish for, if this happens, LFR will be pretty much devoid of any decently geared players and will be a lot tougher lol

Yeah, this is me. I do Heroic Raid but I’m a blue and silver Dracthyr and the LFR tint matches me best.

If I win and someone asks me for it who genuinely needs it, I’ll give it up, but if no one speaks up then I keep it.
