I support them rolling back OF characters and/or anybody else who died during the DDoS attacks because it discourages DDoSers from doing it when they realize that paying money and/or risking getting caught doesn’t actually accomplish anything, therefore less DDoS attacks happen, and therefore we don’t have to deal with outages every time some major guild of streamers gets DDoSed on their raid night.
EDIT: I also support the removal of HC altogether, which would also fix the problem, but I suspect that would be far less popular.

Well, usually when someone asks a question like that, they suspect that the person is thinking/wanting that, and I’m scratching my head trying to figure out where you had gotten that from what I said, but ok.

And they’re all on overpopulated mega-servers that have problems all the time.
And STILL people transfer to those servers.
Some of us were on those servers before they were popular.
I started on Moon Guard during Vanilla and it wasn’t the huge ERP server that it is today back then.
You could go into Goldshire and there’d only be like 3 people there at the time.

I’ve been on this server for twenty years. And the issue ONLY happens when there’s something like this. Normally it’s instant log in zero issues.

I was on Icecrown (which was overpopulated) when they split off a chunk of it into a new overflow server.

In his defense, that’s long enough ago that it’s easy to be mistaken. Kinda like if someone comes back and tells me the particular patch when I started playing on Underbog was “technically a couple months over 17 years, 4 months, and 11 days ago, not 20 years”
(That estimate is based on the release of patch 2.3.0, which had ZA [the first time], that came out a couple months after I started.)

I can’t speak to their case, but Underbog launched January 2007. I started playing shortly before ZA came out in November 2007 (specifically around September that year, b/c a coworker at the movie theater I worked at was on Underbog). But hey, “don’t buy that.”
