Bro you’re on a roleplaying server on a roleplaying game saying that?
We wait for 21 days for a quest line that rewards a title and an achievement. and of course its another boo hoo feelings storyline. i thought we was playing world of warcraft not world of feelingscraft.
I find the story so subpar written that I don’t feel motivated to play out my story. I’m just cruising on autopilot at this point.
That’s hardly a point in the quest chain. Aethas is sad at the start and then not as sad at the end. It’s hardly touched upon.
The problem is the Kirin Tor left a ton of dangerous magical artifacts, including an active Mana Bomb, just laying around. What if Dalaran fell in Northrend? Or against the Legion?
What was left in Dalaran alone could destroy a good deal of Azeroth. And keep in mind these are the most elite of the elite Mages we’re talking about. Jaina, Aethas, Khadgar. The recknessness on display is impressive for all the wrong reasons. And of course, yet again, we have to clean up a mess we didn’t cause as the champion.
It’s bad. I would have been perfectly content with a slide show of the good the Kirin Tor and Dalaran has done over time, and learning from the past to better themselves. Instead, we get an onslaught of Mages not just being dangerous, but flat out stupid.
If it was just Aethas coming to terms with the destruction of Dalaran and the Kirin Tor, that would have been better than what we got.
It’s frustrating because I know they can make good stories. The quest chain to unlock Earthen? I really enjoyed, it was miles better than anything in the campaign thus far.
How dare. I take all of this very serious(ly).
When Xalatath did the anime side step dodge & smirk move I decided I wasn’t interested in the story of this xpac.
Just now? Mate, go redo the legion mage class order hall. The whole thing was them policing magic and being afraid.
The direct opposite of the warlocks where they were experimenting more and more with magic.
We’ve had over 39K posts to know you, of course you think it was fine
? I swear, do people not know that dalaran kept a vault of horrible artifacts or what? This is the same city that held a prison for interdeminsial planet eaters.
What is going on here in this thread?
? No it isn’t. The kirin Tor would be the first one to vault his stuff so others won’t get it.
I mean, yeah, I knew.
I didn’t think that one, they were that insecure, and two they would leave them laying around long enough for kobolds to potentially steal them.
At least Violet Hold had security systems in place. As bad as they were.
Mate, they didn’t leave it around. It was in a protected vault and got loose when the city blew up. That is it. It was secure until it wasn’t because surprise surprise, they didn’t expect the city to blow up a second time.
I don’t think it’s possible for Kel’thuzad to come back given that we literally obliterated his very soul in Shadowlands, which literally erased him from all existence forever. There’s absolutely NOTHING left of Kel’thuzad outside of the past or alternate timelines.
Of course with the way the writing’s been with it feeling at times like writers writing over other writers out of spite for some reason or another (it’s seriously been feeling like this since at least BfA), who knows if Kel’thuzad’s soul was truly destroyed forever.
It could be a breadcrumb for a possible Necromancer class, though.
I would think, if you’re going to have your city fly, you’d first prepare your most dangerous and volatile items against a catastrophic failure. I.e. your city falling from the sky.
This is made even more baffling when they could have kept said items in pocket dimensions. From the wording it sounded like it wasn’t exactly uncommon.
Then again, I’m not a Mage, maybe I’m overthinking this.
And they did, obviously it didn’t work. Welcome to things not working 100% and hindsight being 20/20.
I mean, you know how many nukes are missing in real life? Sad to say it is more than just one. Welcome to not being omnipotent or omniscient.
But jaina was right, they should have destroyed it but you know how councils and politics are. Just takes a handful to say no
I’m just aware what actual bad storytelling is
They’ve yet to cross the “We’re entering David Cage territory” threshold so we’re good.
It just does not make much sense.
- The Kirin Tor talk about their “mistakes”. What mistakes? Locking up dangerous stuff?
- And because of that, they just quit?
Like how hard is it to ripoff helldivers 2 or space marine 2 and use that as the basis for a faction. That’s what the arathi should have been. Group of badass zealots on a bug hunt extermination.
Instead we get things like general Steelstrike and Faerin. Both characters should have been men.
The best media always has a balance between masculine and feminine, from lord of the rings to warcraft 3. There is no balance in TWW it is 100% soy.
Nah, I liked them better as women. Also soy is so good. Taco Bell uses 88% of soy.
I love you call things soy yet want to see more men
