Ive been seeing two types of posts recently circulating.
Either the game is way to hard or way to easy.
While most the time these are made by people with no content completed. (AOTC,CE, KSM ETC) i thought it would be interesting discussion.
For those who find the game to easy have you pushed for CE or KsM/title?
For those who find it to hard what makes it hard for you and do you think its more of a lack of skill and understanding vs the game itself?
Im genuinly curious on these two arctypes of players.
Edit: i do understand everyone is at different levels of play but thats not what the post is about its about trying to understand and maybe shed light for those people who say one or the other.
I find this kind of back and forth is a direct function of whether the individual in question putting it forth is a member of a community/guild/premade of some form. As anyone who is able to draw on such resources is usually in a far better position to do more difficult content than some rando out in the cold wilderness of the pug scene.
I think most people just set unrealistic goals or expectations about the game. Been here since 07 and haven’t found anything hard or easy really. I just do what my comfort level is and enjoy the game the way it is. If i can’t do somthing, I’m not gonna ask for the game to change for me. It’s just beyond my skill level and that’s perfectly fine.
Personally i constatly try to push myself and break my comfort zone. Currently im progging OaB on mythic in a hof guild. This is probably thr highest level play ive been in and its been a challange as its a whole different game. Its exciting and fun and im learning allot.
Thats true like getting CE the last month of a patch is easier then getting HoF for sure. But i think thats whats cool about wow is you can had different levels of difficulty even in the same difficulty of content
I’m assuming those saying it’s too easy hasn’t tried pugging H Mug. Those were a very educational two hours on how the concept of soaking is very misunderstood.

I think these spicy takes are from those watching World First and think they are at the same level as professional players who’s literal job is to be god gamers. 99.9% of us ain’t that.

I normally get ksm and push for ahead of the curve and find the game fine.
Im also a pugger as its always alot harder for us. Alot of the time the hardest merchaics are the people you pug with that refuse to do stuff or just always stand in fire. Also dosnt help when you get tryhards. They can doom a run faster then noobs
I think the biggest complainers are those that compare it to Classic- the immediate difference right away being the ease of overworld content & leveling. Especially at lower levels.
Classic, you’ll probably die a fair amount, and it’s harder but also much slower.
“Oh I got all the way to 80 and never died” type of stuff if they try Retail.
It’s funny because endgame in Retail has pretty much always been harder, just how the game has evolved.
