A few days ago I applied to a few different guilds in the guild finder and have gotten accepted by two of them. After accepting one invite it removed all other pending requests, which is normal, but I still am not part of any guilds. I found said guild with the WoW Search and I don’t see my character in the list either. I re-applied to said guild to see if it was just a one-time bug. Perhaps I missed something? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
After you accept the invitation, as of the last time I did this as a GM, the guild master on the other end has to “confirm” your invitation acceptance. An annoying bit of bureaucratic nonsense to be sure, but this is how it worked when I was adding all my alts to the guild I run.
I’ve noticed sometimes as a GM that at times it seems like I approve so many applicants and they just can’t get in. Their status stays approved for weeks, and they never join nor decline, I think this may be genuinely broken (that or so many of them never log on again).
The notification to see if someone applied to a guild is small/hard to see and guild recruitment ads only last for 30 days. When invited both the guild and the applicant have to find the place to accept.
In Guild & Communities, the guild must be selected on left, there will be a small dot on Roster tab on right, click on Roster tab and then click the drop down to Applicants, then invite. So it’s not easy for Guilds to know if someone has applied, have to look for it, as that little dot on Roster is the only notification I am aware of.
Then, the one invited has to know to open Guild & Community and Click the top left thingy which is the actual invite, and click accept invite in that window. This can be easy to miss/not know about as well as there is no other notice I am aware of for the applicant.
Edit: This is different than a simple: /ginvite newGuildy. That provides a clear pop up.
