I cant continue to support this company anymore

I have to agree here, why is Blizzard so behind with the botting problem? It’s insanity.

the only explanation is they like the botting :expressionless: they aren’t so stupid that they can’t implement a proper bot banning system. they probably get so much money from bot subs they view banning them as crazy.

I know why. It’s because they don’t want to break a lot of addons, which is a stupid reason.

They need to just lay down the law and say, sorry, that addon won’t work anymore and we apologize for the inconvenience, but it makes it too easy to bot, so we have to remove these lua features.

Some people will hate it, but the pros would outweigh the cons.

Today was the day hell froze over and Eyr liked one of my comments… :joy:

Money, it’s all money.

:money_with_wings: :moneybag: :money_mouth_face:

yeah, we don’t need fancy addons if it means more botting :expressionless:

Employ a few humans to research where bots operate and sit and watch those areas, banning bots as they see them.

Did you read anything I said?

I report bots all the time. And they’re there the next day. And the next. And the next. If they make it to 60 and farm for months they’ve made money for the RMT sellers. That needs to stop. They need to be stopped before they hit 60. They need to be stopped before they’re profitable.

I was watching his videos and this is sad to see.

And of course Blizzard won’t do anything.

Need that bot sub money.

This is :poop: that they have been presented to you. And you’re eating it. You, sir, are a :poop: eater.

Well you see that’s just it. They won’t implement a system that will deal with bots if it’s not profitable. And a system that deals with bots and is also profitable probably doesn’t exist. Or at least that’s how Blizzard sees it.

We had similar problems on Whitemane cluster and it took us 6 months of savaging / reporting them to get results. The botters got real salty and even had a friend of mine banned for dealing so harshly with them.

He was wrongfully banned, but because he was outnumbered 5K to 1; got a 6 months ban.

Because they’re ignorant.

They assume the bots are a good source of income via subscriptions and keeps the coiners playing.

What they fail to understand is that the coiners and the botters do way more damage to the game causing honest players to quit the game and they generally quit silently just one day leaving for good.

This is what happened to retail wow, this is why retail is so dead. Between the pay to win Gold token and unhinged botters everywhere in retail, and some poor game design choices… No one plays it anymore.

Obviously a program that rids the game of bots wouldn’t be profitable. A sub is a sub. Blizz doesn’t care if it’s a bot or a real player.

So why spend money paying GMs to rid your game of subs? They save money by having little to no GMs, and have a decent percent of their playerbase as bots.

The occasional token waves are just for appearances. They must keep it profitable for bots to keep coming back.

I’ve reported bots and gotten mails 3 days later saying they were actioned against. Maybe your bots aren’t actually bots

that what investment is for.

not how it works today. back in the day sure but now they have found that way is incredibly inefficient.

like i said then find it. if you see a problem you think can be solved then solve it and sell the solution. business 101.

they make more money by not have bots then having them. if they ban gold sellers and buyers then more people are likely to buy their tokens.

they used to this and found it didnt work. it was super inefficient yea they get some bots but much more make it through. bot detection is much more efficient.

no i used to actually make bots for runescape back when i was younger so i have pretty good idea on how the systems work. granted both sides are much more complicated now.

its incredibly profitable to funnel all those gold buyers into buying their tokens.

I’ve also had this experience, but I don’t think you can extrapolate that responses are fast in general. Or that you can even trust the in game mail as being genuine to be honest. It probably is but I wouldn’t put it past blizzard to just mail you your sticker so you feel like it’s helping without actually even addressing the report.

I mean yeah, we don’t live in a perfect world with a perfect system and with everyone being on one server it’s going to look like the bot problem is worse when’s its just the same # of bots all in the same server.

Nope. They’re bots. They’re 1000% bots. It’s painfully obvious.

Maybe you’re a bot, spreading anti-bot propaganda to hide your activities
