I click a character to switch to but the button doesn’t do anything. It’s been like this for weeks. Does anyone else have this problem?
EDIT: As I suspected, logging out and in magically solved the problem.
Unfortunately, that’s an ongoing issue that keeps returning. Until the overall fix can be implemented the best I can recommend is just try logging in and out of the forums a few times to see if it will update.
Though a word of warning. You have access to at least one character, which you might want to stick with for now. You might get stuck with zero available characters until the selection can update.

This actually worked, I had to log in and out a few times. If it doesn’t work the first time, do it like 3-4 times and it’ll work.
