I been doing this a while now. I started in 2005 and last few expacs has just been so bad I play for a bit then quit. Play for a bit then realize how bad they have made pvp…
we have to do forced content. I don’t care how you slice it, we have to do campaign stuff . Some folks say " you dont HAVE too…" yeah. Or some masochists like it. I can’t stand it. I just wanna log on and do whatever content I enjoy.
Balancing…who’s kidding who. The FoTM ups and downs is just so ridiculous. In SL they said it was because of all the borrowed power systems (parasitic system) or World of Systemcraft if you will…made it impossible to keep things balanced. I get that…whats the excuse now?
I mean otherwise it’s a noted attempt of trying to capture the spirit of former dev stratgies and systems but until we get a new leader with new vision this feels like the titantic with the terrible flute music included.
Must be just the gaming dying of old age and me aging out of a game that at one time captured everything a fantasy game should. it was revolutionary…but it’s just old. feeble.
But I mean, pvp shouldnt be so bad. PVE content I get…terrible devs…but pvp? it shouldn’t be so unbalanced.
I am also seriously disappointed with pvp, and just stopped playing it this season after being the only reason i’ve played the game for almost 20 years. I only pve now. It’s funny how everyone on the forums will say don’t let the door hit you on the “rear end” on the way out but how some of those same people get pissy in discord or in DM’s when you tell them you don’t pvp anymore and they are butt hurt about not having anyone to play with. I’m having a relatively good time playing the pve content, however I can’t imagine it will keep me hooked the way pvp did.
Yea DF PvP right now is awful kanawful. It’s terribad. Partially cuz so many of the “PvPers” only use preset builds and rotations that other top tier players use instead of doing what is best for them. Those guides are meant to be just that… a guide. Not something that you directly copy off of 100%. Gotta do your own thing for PvP if you truly wish to succeed. Copying exactly what others do, you will never do as good as the person you copied from and may even end up doing worse than if you had simply gone your own path and done your own way entirely.
i didnt even buy diablo 4…blizz as a company just sucks so bad…i dunno. im waiting for the open world mmo dnd game. triple a game…im hoping itll be a little more interesting to play than this
They never will because they don’t have the talent, and understanding of what makes PvP fun for the average player. Wow PvP feels like they’ve abandoned that concept.
yeah well i mean since ion took over in 2016 they slowly let pvp die a slow death. no new bg’s or half hearted attempts at implementing pvp changes.
its been all about catering to the carebears and m+. thats fine…but all the good devs jumped ship, got fired or just left. So what we have now is ions vision of wow. pure and simple. it took a good 8 years but wow has been siphoned of anything creative.
You can get precog without ever touching pve content though? I’m really not sure what you’re talking about. That has nothing to do with campaign stuff. You can log in, grab the weekly pvp quests and you’ll get the sparks to craft a piece. Conquest vendor has the item to make it 450 pvp ilvl.
There are problems with PvP though to be clear, but that is not even close to one of them. You aren’t forced to do anything but pvp lol. I think balance in general has been whatever, same as any expac outside of the ret patch, it will -never- be perfect and never has been, people kid themselves with this. Theres like 36 something specs in the game, it will never be perfectly balanced, but we’ve seen a variety of metas this expac so its been decent.
However, pvp is absolutely neglected and really needs some more developers giving it the love it needs. Random bgs and epic bgs are just left to rot, rated bgs are also left to rot and the lfg system makes trying to get into groups so hard and time consuming its usually barely worth spending the time to do, solo shuffle has quite a few prominent issues that are still not really addressed, etc. Feels like pvp is just being left on its own despite being some of the most unique gameplay in any mmorpg out there.
When ignorant people flock to the forums to spread their ignorance. It’s like people are digging deep in a desperate need for something to complain about this expansion.
I think this is a you problem OP. Keep working on that honor gear. Things are pretty good right now, all things considered.
Jeff Kaplin the creator of Warcraft doesn’t work for blizzard he was fired in 2022. He was the overseerer of overwatch at the time and he had not been part of warcraft in years. These are the new developers this is the new vision.
Before these people, there was other people here complaining about no content in the game, senseless pally changes, useless PvP with absolutely no reason to play that, grinding molten core week after week.
And now you’re here complaining. Go play classic and see how it was for me to level five toons. Go back to 2004 and play classic. Then come and tell me your bull_[beep).
