I can't be

The only one who enjoys classic wow regardless of layering and exploits.

Doesn’t anyone just enjoy having classic wow back?

All I see are posts about doom and gloom, have you quit yet? etc.

It’s ridiculous. There’s so much good in classic that isn’t end game or AH drama. It’s the old FANTASY world with RPG. Come on.

I don’t really understand the extent of layering, I don’t understand cleave groups and I am ok with that .

Being a brainlet can make one rather happy.

We don’t have these problems in BB. I mean, layering is there and all, but I’ve never heard of anyone exploiting anything. I haven’t even seen an AoE cleave group, though I’m sure there’s been some.

Ahh, life is good.

All good here too.

I know it’s an MMO, but my enjoyment of it has little to do with what anyone else is doing.

Not a single complaint from me. Very happy.

Although I also mind my own business, so I’m sure that helps.

I’m enjoying it very much. I don’t really even notice the layering thing in my gameplay and I’m used to exploits in MMOs, so I’m not shocked but I do hope actual action is taken. And I purposely did not use the term “appropriate action” as Blizzard likes to use because according to a GM, that can mean “no action at all.”

I am having a lot of fun.
It has not been like my Vanilla experience, but it is closer than WoW has gotten in over a decade.
Definitely some irritating differences, but it is an okay approximation.

I luv having Classic back, even though I have less time to play than I suspected I would have.

I am trying to re-roll my Protection Warrior Qthulhu on Bloodsail, just to tell his backstory that I developed in a sort of My Own Private Idaho, back when I rolled Q on the PvE server Khadgar, back in Vanilla, starting in 2005.

I hated using AddOns in Vanilla, and I refuse to use em in Classic. I do not know how to exploit layers, and I don’t wanna know. In my lifetime, in during The Long Wait, I watched about 23 minutes total of these people known as Streamers and all I can say is piss streams too.

Despite the slog I know I am in for; despite knowing I will re-game an experience that Vanilla players used to warn players against the warning became the Do Not Go With Strangers Chant on my server (“If You Do This You Will Die So Many Times And Be So Absent From The Game Doing Spirit Runs Your Friends Will Think You’ve Disappeared And Blizzard Will Put Your Face On An Alliance Tall Glass Of Milk Cartons!”). I am gonna level Qthulhu in Protection, as soon as I can—which will take a while, because I am playing SOOO slowly—and Golldarn all the other nonsense.

So, tennyrate, I am with you OP…

We get to play WoW again…ain’t that a miracle?

Postscript:

I may start a guild on Bloodsail, once I hit 60, and grow weary of solo-ing, and leveling Blacksmithing, and (I hope) Tanking for Dungeon groups again. Q is only level 11, though slowly climbing, so I can’t hope to even put together a Solid Vanilla Dungeon Group just yet…

Agreed. I’m absolutely enveloped in my own little world in Classic right now and I love it.

It’s a buzzword people are using to describe AEing instances.

Apparently 15 years isn’t enough time for WoW players to decide whether or not they wanna be here.

Thanks Discordia.

These Tankless AoE dungeon groups really can just Stream away without me…

I understand both. While i may not like the idea of cleave groups and i definitely dont like exploiting. I love classic.

My goals in bfa are, get AOTC and get max bis for Heroic tier i.e. bis at 430.

After grinding out essences, getting my neck leveled up, and achieving those goals id rather quit than do it all over on another toon.

Classic allows me to play a game with mechanics and content i played when i was 13yrs old, except now im smarter, more mechanically skilled, and more lore knowledgeable. Its very enjoyable and my wife (who started in 7.2) is learning about the game in a whole new way.

Classic is awesome. Forget the meta, forget the whole “so and so did this or that” complaining. Im having the time of my life and i cant be happier.

I still like it. I think it’s just fine. I enjoy the dungeon groups, and also grouping with people randomly in the world. It makes me feel good when someone can benefit from my healing. I enjoy the general challenge of figuring stuff out.

I’m loving it.

Keep in mind, this forum represents probably 1% (or less) of all players in the game. This forum would qualify as the whole “vocal minority” and rageaholics population. You know, the “Karen” or “I want to speak to the manager” types.

I’m enjoying it. It’s not vanilla per say but its still fun imo. More fun then I was having on retail.

Maybe I’m crazy but this version of vanilla is better then no version at all. Sure it has some hiccups, but the good far out weighs the bad.

Plus I know blizzard won’t wipe the server like most private realms have at some point. Can only restart so many times…

Totally agreed … but then I’m not one of those who care how others play the game … Classic is providing me with what I remembered and that’s why I’m playing it.

I love it. And frankly I never hear any of these complaints in-game at all. Not from party members, guildies, or even general chat. And folks in the Barrens will complain about ANYTHING.

I am having fun. I dont like the exploits, but i dont let it ruin MY game time. They can do them, ill do me. I comment in a lot of the layering threads because, well, im at work when im on here, and i need something to do between telling people that their printer only works if they plug it in!

I have yet to choose a main character, i have like 10 going right now i think, none higher than this one, at 21. This happened to me in Vanilla too, i dont think i had a character at cap until late WOTLK heh.
