I cannot seem to regain my Rank 3 on the forums

I started a thread in Customer Support about it. I hope it’s taken in the spirit intended.

The one I can’t get is 50% of the days, I think. I usually only come here on weekends. So, I’ll likely never get it.

tl3 isnt really worth it. beyond posting vids and gifs the lounge you get access to is pretty dead for obvious reasons. not uncommon to go over 12 hrs without a post in it. since like half the tl3 forget it exists.

Nah being flagged won’t do it. You need to be issued an actual suspension from the forums to lose your trust level.

I’ve had TL3 like once and only for a few months before it was ruthlessly taken from me.

So I’ve had several of my threads flagged and removed but no warnings issued, is that to say I’ve had no actions taken against me theoretically at least?

Yep. Your posts can be both flagged and removed as long as you are not given a vacation of any length from posting.

After being issued a suspension I think it’s either 3 or 6 months before you can start making progress toward TL3 again.

I think the only vacation I got was from a silence I received in game that just carried over to the forums because it was an account wide silence not something that resulted from forum conversation.

Maximum five removed that are deemed “offensive”.

I see I see. Wasn’t aware of that rule there.

Hardstuck at TL2 then I guess lol.

The internet has many image boards. Reddit. Imgur. God forbid 4chan. Many smaller forums let you post images from the start. Almost EVERY platform lets you post links (barring like, YouTube comments).

This one is overly restricting by making you jump through 20,000 hoops to get that ability.

I say that because the Posts Read metric is by far the most egregious one. If you typically just stick to General Discussion and only open threads that seem relevant or interesting to you, chances are you won’t hit that. It’s 20,000 posts made in the last x days, not just 20,000 of any post, too. So even if you cheese via megathread you have to find enough posts that are somewhat recent.

(actually it’s 25% of all posts within the last x days read, it just caps at 20,000. Idk where we stand on the WoW forums).

I kinda get it on general principle.

I don’t mind them making sure people aren’t here specifically to troll and post shock images or something. But it’s excessive. The time thing alone would cut out like 99% of people looking to do that. Even if they dropped it to 30 days or something. And anyone willing to go out of their way to meet that metric is also willing to autoscroll for awhile to meet the other big one.

I’ve also heard that once you are removed from rank 3 it’s almost impossible to get again.

They gate keep hard even on the forums.

God forbid we post a pic or a meme. THE HORROR.

Unfortunately Zenjy is correct and the ideas would need to be on the Bnet feedback forum. But I agree that they need tweaked by Discourse for our usage. :slightly_smiling_face:

Six months and then you can get it back.

Not always.
I’ve had my access suspended for a month and I was never sent a message on the matter.

nah, not really. it just takes time. i suspect there’s a “cooling off” period or something after your suspension lifts where interactions don’t count toward the tl3 requirements.

I diagnose us all as clinically insane, myself included! Slams a comedically oversized gavel

It felt easier and faster to get rank 3 the first time than it is now trying to get it back again, at least that’s how it feels to me.

i think they should just remove trust level 3 and keep 1 and 2. we dont need images and youtube videos clogging up threads trying to derail them

This is probably the biggest reason why they moved both to TL3 and kept it the hardest tier to reach.

Anybody who’s been in long enough to have TL3 will have both multiple positive and negative enforcements to their posts. At a bare-minimum they could stick around long enough to not be banned in little under a 3rd of a year and not get actioned, so they are at least somewhat responsible.
