I cannot seem to regain my Rank 3 on the forums

I feel like they’re a little overly strict with the requirements.

They kinda have to be. It’s like letting someone join your guild and 5 days later making them Assistant GM with a high level of ability. This at least ensures the right people are here for the right reasons, and are posting responsibly and actively contributing. Raid guilds don’t just hand out spots… they make us earn it (which is why I am a casual). :blue_heart:

As I said, I have not received either of those in a very long time. You get a message when it happens and I have not received a message to that effect in 2024.

Heya it does come back!

For what it’s worth I quit WoW from May to September (I think) and I had lost my Trust 3. I just got it back the other day.

I regained mine after an absence, but lost it a week later. (Not from reporting or anything I did wrong, I must not have read 567800 posts in the 987 threads I was supposed to read on that day!)

Good luck! :white_heart:

Don’t agree. Its easy to sit there and roll through hundreds of comments and not participate at all in that respect. It doesn’t contribute anything positive to the forum to do that.

And your example of comparing to a guild is sort of odd. Not sure what an ingame community that takes part in the game has to do with posting things and commetning on a forum.

That gave me a bit of a chuckle. There is no real qualification required for the quality of your contribution, just numbers. You could get on a discussion and post a couple of words to meet the comment number that have zero impact and thats all thats needed.

I hope you get it back!

That post you quoted was a fun trip down memory lane for some poster’s names.

Well, I’ve always guessed that the reason a lot of people lost youtube posting priivileges and got deranked without any way of getting their rank back up was because Blizzard wanted to restrict those posting privileges to a tiny cadre of favored posters. Thanks for confirming that.

:100: %

I think it was during the start of DF somehow I had link/video posting privileges, like a lot of people did then, and I was able to join in on some fun threads like post your favorite song(s) for epic BGs. It was just nice. And the forums were still kind of nice. Not anymore though.

yeah they removed those from tl2 mid expansion. discourse did anyways. tl2 is pretty much pointless now. its just tl1 and tl1.5.

I mean, feel free to chuckle and doubt all you’d like. It’s their rules, not mine and if they decide to pop in here and explain themselves then so be it. I was just offering my insight. But it seems you’re still pretty bitter about losing your level three and you’re not really interested in excuses so I will just move onto a different thread and continue to progress to my level three. good luck to you.

It just comes back.

I think the big one is 50% activity over 100 days that could be missing for OP? From what I understand the rest kinda happen passively.

You could go ahead and ask in CS, they can often tell you what you need, you could be almost there.

The one people tend to be walled by is the 20k posts read. Everything else is easy enough.

The biggest thing that they’ve never fixed is aside from doing it on a character you’ve never used on the forums before (since stats are currently per character), it’s almost impossible to separate the stats you had from last time with the stats you’re working on right now. You wind up having to ask CS to see if they’ll tell you what you need. More transparency please, Blizzard. The requirements are already excessive, so the least you can do is make it easier to track your progress.

Me either, It requires a lot of posting. And it requires people to be interested in the things you post and like them.

I suppose we could make special forum threads for leveling our forum rep and just like everyone’s posts. Maybe something like “What does the word above you make you think of?”

Is that for the last 100 days or ever in the history of the forums?

I remember asking about my status (since I lost TL3 awhile ago and then got it back) on the Customer Support forum and someone from Blizzard told me what was up.
