Edit: Maybe I am also full of hot garbage because I was just able to post a link in another thread. So I either just gained Trust 3 again, or I was just having a few buggy days. At any rate I will leave this thread going because I think there is some good info here.
Original post:
I am experiencing an issue that maybe someone can enlighten me on, several weeks ago I broke the 20k posts read and gained what I assumed was Trust 3 as I was able to post pictures, videos, and links. and did so several times.
I went to post a picture yesterday and it said that I cannot include links in my posts. Is it possible to lose Trust levels? I haven’t been inactive, or reported, or suspended or anything like that. Just posting and viewing normally. And Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom, introduced a level system with absolutely no way to track or monitor progress other than some convoluted html-code look up.
I asked Blizzard support and the response was “I can’t say anything about it, just go have fun on the forums! :)” which isn’t helpful since I sometimes spend 1-3 hours browsing the forums a day, depending.
As far as I know, the requirements are:
Visited at least 50% of last 100 days - 127 days visited
Replied to at least 10 different topics - almost 500 responses
Must have viewed 500 topics - Viewed 808 topics
Must have read 20,000 posts - 22k posts viewed
Received 20 likes, and given 30 likes. - Given 195, 1.1k recieved
No more than 5 spam or offensive flags - None that I know of, I stay on topic
Must not have been suspended - No suspensions on my account, only suspended once but GM overruled it as unjust, confirmed it doesn’t effect my trust level
So did I miss something? Is there any way to check? It isn’t the end of the world but I enjoyed the ability to post things other than emojis into a comment. Thanks.
I have no idea, dude. I had all the requirements for trust Level 3 and then I fell asleep for about a week and lost it. That was over a month ago, and I still can’t get it back.
The system is fickle and just does what it wants, I suppose.
There’s an ongoing maintenance issue with it. I don’t know how often it checks, but you need to maintain the things that gained you the trust level on a rolling basis.
So you need to take a look not only have you done those things. But also, have you done those things over the past 100 days.
It’s absolutely broken. If you lose it on a character there’s a chance it’ll never come back. If you don’t use the forum daily it’s not even worth grinding for because maintaining it is a hassle
Best thing you can do is start over your progress on a new character. TL3 is granted to your forum character, not your account, so any progress is completely unhindered by anything that happened on another character you used to post.
So it’s probable that one of my requirements, unknown to me since Blizzard offers no way to track them fell below the Trust 3 thresh hold after being achieved. Oh well, at least it is an answer. Green gave me something a blue couldn’t.
Is this true? Can anyone confirm? Because if I was suspended once (or twice) with this character, I can just make a new character and DO BETTER and still be able to reach Trust Level 3!
BUT, if what this person said is true… we could just start posting with a different character and STILL be able to make Trust Level 3! I think it’s worth a shot.
You can lose trust level 3 if your account gets a vacation from the forum or even an account action in game. Thats the only way I know of how to lose it.
Interesting… idk I’ve never been suspended with this char so I guess I just stick on this one and see what happens. I don’t intentionally get suspended of course, each time it has happened I was genuinely surprised, but to me that just means it will probably happen again. I get a little prickly sometimes.
Once you get in trouble on any of your characters that’s it, you can’t ever get trust level 3 on any of them since it is bound to your account not character.
