I came back after about 6 to 8 months of quitting and im quitting again

yes. its a pain

Yeah idk why everyone is having such a hard time understanding where the annoyance is coming from

I would prefer my gear kept it’s stats as well as all my healers are haste/vers–however, I knew what I was getting and took it because the bonus outweighed the loss. I chose the 4 pieces with the most tolerable stat changes and kept moving.

dude i know it tells you. i read it…like i said multiple times before. but when you need a set piece to be relevant and you dont know how much a change 117crit vs 98 haste is since youre not sitting around stat crunching on your character you assume its worth it because now you have a set lol

I think what has annoyed people is that he is stating rng got him because he didn’t read what he was getting. I don’t know anyone that actually prefers their stats get smacked.

ya i messed up saying RNG but i didnt realize that until some actually helpful people pointed out its not RNG

Right, but that doesn’t make it okay

I play a lot and i read every wowhead article on discord when a bot posts them so i knew before tier came out that i wouldn’t like the system

Someone who doesn’t play a lot or was gone for a while would have no reason to expect their conquest gear to become non pvp stated because it makes no sense which is what the op is about

I understand their could be confusion, but the fact is the stats you get for any given piece is right in front of you. He either ignored it or didn’t read it. Fair to not like that they changed but to act as if you didn’t know they were going to change is just not bothering to look at your screen.

Apparently somebody in charge of planning read in a pop psychology book that bad experiences are what is inspirational. How else could they be intentionally designing the game full of feelbad moments and not seeing that people who find playing the game makes them feel bad are leaving?

And the people who are here, telling you that you should have invested an unlimited number of hours of time into research to find the answer to all the questions you didn’t know you were supposed to be asking… Those people are here because they like to find other players they are superior to and make them feel bad.

you might as well quit again everyone does nowadays besides the few who never unsubscribe join the crowd. blizz just can’t seem to hold player retention for crap in 2022. its pretty plain and simple why he is mad cause blizz disregarded pvp and made you wear pve gear. how hard would of it had been to just have a pvp set?

Just a flaw to it all. Gear conversion is nice since it offers new stat weights–much needed in some case. A reroll on top of a bad drop.

Other cases, like this–no winning. You need the tier, but don’t want to give up stats.

All I can suggest is to keep in mind that there are 5 pieces per set. Pick the 4 that make most sense for you. And to look at what the piece is converting to when you go to the creation catalyst. It is displayed beforehand.

I guess what my ultimate complaint is that I had no idea that it wasnt RNG so I get shoulders or something right? Then unbeknownst to me its not RNG and I could have opted for a slot that would get me what i need. I know it shows the stats but unless you know its not RNG and unless you know what the others have to offer its just assumed that it will equal itself out as far as effectiveness in game goes. Could I have delved deep into wowhead? Sure but even my friends who have been playing this game didn’t even know how tier sets worked for the most part lol so how the heck am i supposed to know and now im screwed and set weeks back because i got it with conquest.

Those people are lying. They have taken regular breaks over the years.

I have met lots of people lately who have gone full free-to-play.

i don’t think you need to update us for every account or subscription move you make. we don’t know you, we won’t notice.

It only shows at the catalyst, it doesn’t show when you purchase the gear at the vendor. Buying a conquest piece after grinding bgs or arenas doesn’t give you a pop up “welcome back to 9.2! Please note that this item you purchased’s stats are irrelevant if you intend to make tier which is likely mandatory for your spec in pvp. Feel free to purchase the item for mog purposes only”

Its not intuitive at all. Any logic would say, “i purchase gear with vers, i keep vers”

best way to keep a player base and game alive. alienate everyone who sites a problem with the game…

We’re a few million players too heavy already. we value quality of players, not quantity.

Battlemaster…gets…it…thank you

Exactly that. If you read it at the vendor, why would you not read it at the catalyst?
