I came back after about 6 to 8 months of quitting and im quitting again

because i already bought the piece lol

Exactly what I was thinking. I never had trouble understanding this–no WoWhead needed. It is displayed right in front of you when you go to spend a currency to convert to it.

No returning player goes to the catalyst before buying gear? A returning player has a ridiculous amount of systems to catch up on and learn and nowhere in game does it tell you that your conquest gear will be converted into pve gear until you put it in the converter which will be a surprise to returning players who had no reason to expect that

Idk how else to say it

theirs nothing to argue here all they had to do was make pvp tier can you explain why pvp gear can’t have its own tier in a pvp game? their ain’t one good reason you can give.

I mean, you have an opinion. I see that. I don’t like that it changes stats either. However, to tell someone that being new means they shouldn’t have to read what they are doing is wrong in a game like wow, or any for that matter, if they want to get good results. That is my opinion.

Welcome to wow buddy! U got ur first lesson here. If u got complaints don’t bother, if u have questions I usually use the wow discord. GL man and I get u. I had the same thing happen and it was annoying. :cloud_with_rain:

Me either iv been stressing trying to say this lol but they just tell me “lul read” like…lol ya like i said a million times over i did read it but i already bought the gear. I didnt know it wouldnt be RNG and was pre determined…so i just went with what i thought was right because if its random what does it matter what piece i buy…nothing i have a problem with has anything to do with not reading the stat change. i read it …said damn but at least i’ll have my set piece and i already bought this gear anyway…then i put it all together and say well i lost all my stats i wanted but it should work out…then it just is night and day with how much of the stat i lost in the end. i had no way of knowing my stats would tank by the end of it lol it just kept happening and i said well thats how it goes

quit arguing this is a pvp game to you shouldn’t be forced to wear pve gear when they should of had pvp tier in the first place yes its blizz’s fault. idc what that catalyst says failure is when you have pvp game without having pvp tier in it and this would of never came up.

not arguing that but thanks lol

In case you missed it, this was the complaint. The full on original is up top. I don’t think most people were happy that the stats were predetermined. That doesn’t change the fact that it is not RNG and that it IS right in front of you before you click. Not to mention a .5 second google search will give you a list of each piece and the stats that will result.

I wonder if the piece can be restored back to pre-tier conversion–I’ve never tried. Might be worth it if so, then convert 4 other tier slots asap.

It’s a troll and doubtful that it ever happened.

Yup …this was all just a troll post. I actually enjoy coming back to a game and after thinking they fixed a lot of stuff and its fun only to waste weeks of gaming and currency time gates because I was unaware of every little detail of a new tier set gearing system. God forbid anyone new starts this game, I took a break, came back and feel screwed over. I cant imagine why no one new stays with this game…

Who is this “we” for whom you speak? If the game lost “a few million players” you’d be gone too, because it would be in negative numbers.

The idea that the game would be more “successful” if only a tiny number of the best players were still playing is a sick joke. Nobody wants to play a dead game, and that’s what it would be if you purged 95% of the players to stroke your ego. In fact, you wouldn’t even fit in that “deserves to play” group yourself. So are you trying to tell us you’re an employee trying to drive away as many players as possible to prove you’re boss before Microsoft takes over?

Hardcore players wouldn’t even be paying enough to keep the game online, because there aren’t enough of them to pay the bills.

Why? This was a common complaint, that versatility was removed from PvP gear being converted into tier. It happened to a lot of players.

if at any point ever you try to guilt trip me, make me pity you or gain any sympathy in any way by threatening to quit, then i want you gone from this game. permanently. Regardless of impact to the game.

I’d rather see the game gone, than know you’re here.

that is my personal opinion and I stand by it.

Reading is apparently a lost skill. We live in a time where people shouldn’t have to read but things should be communicated to them.

Reminds me of those derps who 20 freaking years after the games release, still get angry that they get pked in the wilderness in runescape and act like there were 0 warnings they’d die there and demand jagex bans everyone who pks because they can’t read.

I’m not threatening or seeking attention. I had a problem with the game. I sited it. I have been polite. I thought forums were to discuss game issues. A lot has been brought to my attention but none of it reverses what was done because none of it was known before hand…thats the problem

It is a valid complaint.
But in this scenario OP’s belt has vers, and his tier shoulders have vers.
OP is claiming Haste is his main PVP stat.

When I told him his gear has vers, and told him that he wants vers, he told me it doesn’t have vers. I linked it too him. He’s literally full of it.

There are soooo many issues with wows itemisation which is really ironic given how simple its design is… the designers have proven incapable of managing it.

Higher ilvl should always ALWAYS!!! be a better item, its intrinsic to how they have designed the progression systems… Maybe they need less incremental upgrades, maybe they need better relative value on secondary stats, maybe they need reforging (since there are no more hit/exp caps which is what made it bad before), maybe they need more stats.

There are so many knobs and tuning they can do.
