I said I would be strong and wait for release, but I was weak. I wanted to try out the test realm, see it with my own eyes.
I made a dwarf priest, and ran him to Teldrassil. I buffed every stranger on the way, and had more interaction in that one sprint than then dozen or two hours I tested on freebie retail. Folks were happy. Folks were helping. Folks were waving. Folks were buffing.
The graphics may have felt dated for… 30 seconds, and then I was completely immersed again. It was everything I remembered, and at the same time better than what I hoped for. It was wonderful. I will be able to sleep easily tonight.
I plan on making a priest, and I’m genuinely looking forward to this very thing. There’s just something about it, I can’t explain, but it’s just a good feeling.
I played as a warrior and struggled somewhat. Whenever I got that stam buff from priests I felt unkillable. I was finally able to defeat higher level mobs without dying. 8 stam is a lot. Feels good.
Though I might not continue with warrior on launch, I kinda like the idea of paladin leveling over warrior leveling.
A free trial character so I could post on Classic Forums. Though I did try 7 or 8 trial characters to 20… they all felt lifeless, overpowered, and the same.
I had a similar experience when I rolled druid. I wasn’t planning on playing druid but after having so much fun during the stress test I don’t think I could play a toon where I don’t get to drive-by buff everyone I meet.
MoTW and thorns for errybody! \0/
Oh come on, guys. I play a mage, and I’m happy has hell to hand out food and water. All you have to do is ask or whisper me. I buff everybody I see. I buff warriors and rogues, too, even though I don’t know if it does them any good. If you run past me and buff me, and I don’t buff you it’s only because I’m so damn focused and excited. Sometimes, if I miss somebody I’ll turn around and chase after them just to buff them.
We’re not disgruntled, we just want our portals so bad.
I’ve mostly settled on what I’m gonna roll first, but I’ll admit every time this weekend I made a new character to level to 5 to check it out, I a little bit almost decided to switch. Every time.
Between horrible blizz customer service and BFA getting poor reviews (still haven’t bought it), I honestly didn’t plan to come back to WoW ever. That was until classic was announced. This will be their last change to right the wrongs blizz has wrought over the years.
