I am without WoW

Tornado and severe storms hit us late last night. Ripped my honeysuckle vine out of the ground and there’s branches everywhere. We’re safe, but no power.

And it’s going to be 90° today.

And my cat can’t travel anywhere, so I’m hoping our basement stays cool enough.

Need to save power on my phone, but I’m cheesed no WoW or a/c or food in the fridge.

Hope everyone else is okay and didn’t get hit too badly by those storms. :two_hearts:

For the future, buy solar powered power bricks. It helped us when snow killed our entire county’s power.

My shed was ripped up and tossed around by that storm but thankfully Mechanicsburg still has power.

Good luck and glad to hear you’re safe. This kind of thing happens rarely where I live, but when it does, we lose power for days. We invested in a small generator. PiA to set up, need to watch it when it runs (since it runs on gasoline) but we can run the fridge and a few other things. Unfortunately, it still means we don’t have water or heat (since the pump and oil burner are in the basement and that would take some looooong extension cord), but it’s something.

Doesn’t OP complain about the game, all the time?

I’m having a hard time mustering up any sympathy.

AC I can understand… you don’t complain about AC all the time.

Judging by your weather, you must be in Texas. Reason I moved out of that state the violent weather scares the crap out of me.

And this

Have you ever seen the great Pollen-clouds here in NC. Claritin and Allegra ain’t got nothing on them

The same.

Fortunately, I am well experienced in surviving in the Great Indoors.

That looks like what I deal with! My property is lined with tall white pines. When a breeze blows we get clouds like this and my grey car gets a dusty yellow. It’s awe-inspiring to see the size of those things.

Sorry to hear it. Hopefully you have some non perishable food and some bottled water to help you through.

This looks like South Carolina in the spring time.

Not any better here across the border. Then we get the endless rains followed by the sticky humidity that is now all of June.

Then it just gets hotter and stays that way until December it feels like.

Love my cold weather. Just saying lol
