Oh no! I got woken up by the storms but I guess the worst of it went north of me.

So glad to hear you are both ok, even if there is a lot of clean up to do. Hopefully you have some ice, a cooler, and some back up supplies Thalia! I got a solar powered backup phone battery pack that is useful… I have not had reason to use it, but am glad I have it.

Tornado hits

Digs through the rubble in hopes of logging in to WoW

I’d be in the same predicament not able to WoW without power XD

but at least you’re safe!

Or charge your phone with car.

Good thing it’s maintenance day!

Nice of Blizz to plan maintenance for when you can’t play anyway!

:people_hugging: so sorry, the weather has been crazy this summer

Oh my, sorry to hear it :astonished:

What state is this in? Yesterday some dude in the background Discord chatter of a streamer I watch was talking about “a huge tornado’s about to hit”, so maybe you’re not alone in your predicament :joy:

Sorry to here that Thallia.

Less than 1 month ago me, my wife, 4 dogs and 2 cats crammed into a closet that barely fit us all as an EF3 Tornado touch down less than 5 miles out from our house, and it was coming right for us.
No exaggeration, my house was in the projected path.

But about 3 miles out, the storm veered North (it was heading North-East) and missed us, but it did tear up the town right outside of ours. We drove through it the next morning, power lines in the road, metal bars twisted as if they became rubber for a brief moment, brick houses laying in a pile. I have no doubt that if the storm never changed direction last minute my house would have collapsed on us.

Thankfully nobody was seriously injured.

I moved from UK right into Tornado Alley, I am ill prepared.

I don’t know how you guys do it. I’ve been in Oklahoma for two weeks and it was nice the first week but the second turned into 100 days.

And I’ve been here when it’s hotter than that.

No thank you.

If one owns there home. One would be foolish not to invest in a backup generator.
After going through Katrina, I will never own a home without one

Tornados are scary, and can be deadly, I’m glad you are ok.

hopefully you can stay cool!

Ohio. The line of storms went from Michigan, through us and Pennsylvania.

Checked the estimated time for them to fix the outage… it still says “assessing condition.” :sob:

It’s a rental. We don’t own.

Invest small Honda generator, and a window air conditioner

If we could afford it, we would. Things are pretty tight around here with me still on medical leave and having surgery to pay for since our insurance sucks now.

Used to be, having a local government job got you great benefits. Now… we’re bottom of the barrel.

Then save up and let this be a lesson…
