After 15 years of scuffed launches and bad server population control, I think I’ve just come to accept this kind of thing happens. But here is the wild part, i’ve played every ffxiv expansion and it doesnt, I’ve played ESO and it hasnt.
What is with bliz and making some absolute dumb lad decisions? like is the free server transfer a good idea? YES… however why to 2 dead realms when there are so many mid sized ones that people would actually be incentivised to transfer too.

Yes, those games have definitely had login queues. Endwalkers lasted for over a month because of how cheap the servers were. You are wrong.
endwalker didnt have queues if you already had the game lad. They made a Decision and outwordly Stated how they were going to fix it

Also, if server stability is a concern of yours, why did you choose to play on a full server, which they warn you about with this:
You have selected a full server which can result in a wait to play. You should consider selecting a server with a low population.
Do you really want to select this server?
AH yes, CHOSE TO PLAY ON A FULL SERVER WHEN I MADE MY MAGE IN CLASSIC
So in other words they had a priority system.
That doesn’t change the fact that they still had the issues too.
It’s convenient that everyone complaining about server queues all somehow managed to be on their server since Classic. Regardless, you CHOSE TO STAY on that server, knowing full well this could be a thing. That was your choice.

the point of that was that it wasnt a full server back then at all.
Releveling is free. Taking a free server transfer is free. You’ve not chosen to do any of that though. What you did choose was to stay on a full server knowing this could, and likely would happen during big content releases.
I can tell you who all the people that yell “you chose to stay on the server” vote for.
