So, that essentially means that players who have a friend group from dungeons are not allowed to play with their friend group in battlegrounds, instead they have to pick their top 2 best friends. Their other 2 friends have to go do something else.
All because you don’t want to be challenged (This isn’t a quote either, it’s an inference based on your argument).
And then, we extrapolate out to the future, when someone else complains about the duo/trio groups, then we move down to solely single player games.
That’s what you’re arguing for, rather than working out how to deal with the game as it is, you’re demanding that the game be changed to be as single player as it can be.
I believe that you are correct Hirav. They want a single player random/epic BG, solo Q only. No groups.
Blizz tried this with Blitz. And there are many complaints about ‘premades’ whatever that means there and even the duo healer Q. I wonder if they will try it with random/epic BGs? I kind of doubt it.
There is another post here where the OP noted that xfactiongroup of 5 was being constantly placed as Alliance, so, who knows, maybe they’ve tried some balance stuff for groups filling.
I will note that Q;s for epic BGs have gone up. They were consistently 6 min Alliance side me (less for Horde), now on the 2 I have tested it has been 12 min ave and 11 min ave. We will see.
Maybe this is just a xfaction thing. But, now that I think about it, the OP in that thread did say they tried a full Horde team and ended up Alliance. idk, will be interesting. I’ll be solo q’in as usual…until the friggin servers shut down prolly (or a much better mmo comes along…which hasn’t happened yet for pvp).
Maybe it/s the new content for the longer q’s? Maybe bugs? Maybe algorithm change?
Thus you believe that it is not currently balanced.
And that you’re here defending someone who says that premades should be reduced to a maximum of 3.
Thus I infer that you also believe that groups of 5 is too many for battlegrounds.
Even though dungeon groups, the largest proportion of players, are actually groups of 5.
Thus I am inferring that you don’t want to be challenged, you want the groups to be reduced, so that you have a chance.
And then when the groups are reduced, I am extrapolating that the crusade will then be on the reduced groups, till it’s down to solo players, then I suppose you would have to find something else to complain about.
Because that’s what you really want to do, complain, you aren’t really here because you want a better game, you just want to complain.
It clearly isn’t. Hence why less and less people are playing pvp.
I didn’t defend anything. I simply said that things should be limited in bgs I already gave my argument why.
For some battlegrounds sure, as I pointed out in 10-man bg’s 5-mans have too much sway these days.
You have no bases for this, we have had pve content of all sizes yet not a single person has wanted every aspect of pve to be solo only.
Says that one that exploits in order to gain a huge advantage in randoms, you are a hypocrite yet again.
Another incorrect statement. If anything, you are complaining that people want improvements to pvp. I have always wanted a better game, if I didn’t, I wouldn’t play the game.
I’d say that fragmentation of game modes is causing players to be spread out so thin that each game mode is dying from the drought.
That is the argument that Cocainthief used. You are using the same argument.
You are defending yourself and Cocainthief.
And yet it has been the same since the limit was introduced in 2010.
So, nothing has changed. There is nothing about ‘these days’ that is different than ‘those days’.
Basis. Not Bases.
And my basis is that you want to reduce the maximum number of players who are allowed to group from 5 to a number which you have not disclosed, but I suppose it’s probably close to 3.
I don’t know what PvE players wanting PvE things has to do with anything though.
If that is what he’s saying, he’s not wrong. Although I don’t expect it to change (queuing party size maximum being reduced). Teams of five are the standard maximum, been that way since, I don’t know how long, many years.
It’s not actually the five people that concern us. When we duo queue a random battleground, and multiply our chances of going against a premade of ten by quite a bit versus going solo, and even solo queuing, you can have someone on your team that duo queued, the chances of finding five or more players that consistently play together and do very very well rises.
Even though queuing with five total people in your party is totally allowed, it does give you a very good advantage if the enemy team does not take advantage of that option and you intelligently bring 4 people with you that know what they’re doing and are all geared enchanted, embellished, tier sets, etc.
Just my own experience here, I duo queue BGs and EBGs with my GF. I play few characters and get them the BiS gear, gems, ect. She does not and does plays many characters. If just DPS we bring was the only metric for success, we would be doing our team a disservice, but we do usually win I am happy to report, because we are team players and help to get the W however we can. It should be no surprise to hear we as a duo, cannot be as efficient as 10 players on coms, or even the allowed to queue together 5.
Saying 10 or 5 teammates that play together very often are doing so to in part, to have every advantage they can, isnt taboo, or a new idea. There doesn’t need to be some philosophical or grammatical break down of everything someone has said when they point out large groups who have played well for a long time together are expected to continue doing so.
