Funnily enough I checked that dude’s profile, solely because he brought up rating, and he doesn’t even have 2k either lol. His highest arena cheve is 1750, I’m sure those extra 200 points make the game completely different though.

If someone launches into ad-hom straight away, whether they know it or not, they are just admitting they have nothing of substance to add to the discussion.

Yeah I saw the 2k in RBGs, but he specifically called out my arena rating so that’s what I looked at. If he’s going by RBGs I’ve gotten higher than him LOL.

Either way, using someones rating to disregard their points is just bad faith. Unless we are talking about R1 meta or something like that it doesn’t matter, engage with the ideas brought up not the person.

This is what the official forums have been for a while.

You need to have the “relevant content pass” or a certain segment of the population just completely disregards any points you might make, regardless of how well founded they are. Then somebody with 2400xp or CE comes along, says the same thing, and that same segment of the population takes it as gospel truth.

I dunno, there was that one guy citing Dilly a while back as a reason pet rez was fine (because if Dilly can still do well even with pet rez nerfed than it clearly isn’t a problem we all just need to git gud).

Then Dilly came in and completely trashed his argument with video evidence.

He still didn’t back down, he just carried on like Dilly had never posted in his thread. It was deeply hilarious to watch.

That said, my experience in pvp has been different — before this nerf went live.

And yeah, my ratings are pretty abysmal as well, I didn’t fee I qualified to add anything meaningful, so I was going to pass on arguing a point.

The last time I double tap, aim shotted a melee from camo, my 4% chance for both to crit didnt happen and I was subsequently melted into the ground, while his leech healed him to 100% during the time I was stunned anyway.

there was one dude spouting about how pet revive times are fine and players like dilly are example that it is fine.

Well good thing I was not arguing the specs overall performance in the game then. My point was specifically that hunters are good at kiting. I don’t think one need to have glad in arena to be able to have a discussion on the basics of their class like that.

No offence friend, but not everyone who likes pvp plays arena OR rated bgs.

I spent next to no time in arenas/rated pvp content and during Legion still discussed combat tactics with some of the best EU sv players on equal footing
