What is wrong with you?? ahhaha go see a doctor or something
You are not alone. I enjoyed BFA, as I enjoyed Legion and WoD before it. I’m sure I will enjoy Shadowlands. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be playing.
I started BFA, and it was okayish. I finished all quest lines and start farming M+
it was fun. But that’s only one thing that was fun in BFA. All other content was garbage and still is garbage. I even skipped Nazjatar for full itse duration and returned only when Ny’alotha came out only to get cloak and upgrade it to max, cause I thought, well this new “corruption” is kind of interesting. But when my one random proc of corruption effect overDPS my whole class kit by 200% I understood that this whole expansion is utter bullshnitzel.
I upgraded every slot on my char to max lvl item in M+ and got last upgrade on cloak and did all vision achievements and drops. And it was FREAKING ANNOYING. Especially when I found out that all this corruption I spend time and resources to get will not be working on next expansion several month further. Like it will literally switches off.
Also this constant farming of artefact power lead to NOTHING. it will also cease and stop working.
So all those daily quests and gathering of war resources is now pointless.
I don’t have anything to remember from BFA except how ugly Zandalari trolls hump and how buggy transmog came out when they tried to get gear working with new appearance that we get in SL.
Ah yes. The two only good things that I personally enjoyed is Allied races and Straight Up orcs. Nothing more.
THe visuals of this game is superb as ever, but it was superb always in every era new addon came out their art follows and it’s incredible.
You are not alone. BFA actually came out to be one of my favorites. I will miss titanforging.
I also greatly enjoyed BFA.
Having played since Vanilla, this expansion reminded me most of Cataclysm in both the good and bad ways.
Like Cata, BFA had a fun, engaging story with loads of quests and drama. My personal favorite is the end quests of Tiragarde Sound where Lady Ashvane runs off - such beautiful drama! Cataclysm similarly remade the leveling experience across the whole of Azeroth: the Stonetalon questline alone is worth the work! It was really really amazing at the time.
But also like Cata, BFA had focusing issues. As much as I like abandoned titan research facilities, how exactly was G’huun important? Anyone? Did anyone really care about G’huun other than fans of Nazmir? It felt very disconnected.
Cata had the Twilight Halls and Blackrock Descent raids that felt like disconnected crap in the former and weird BWL reboot in the latter.
The Battle for Dazaralor and Nazjatar felt much more connected and coherent (and please can we have more of Queen Azshara sass-talking?). Cata had Firelands, which seemed a little like a MC reboot, but was done so gloriously that it made sense with what the meta story was doing, so it was a blast.
But then N’zoth came and voided the waters. Yeah, we’d love to have more Faction War, but there’s Mr. Tentacle and his mind games, so we’ll take a break? N’zoth even comes with the Kamehemeha Bolt kill shot by an NPC like Dragon Soul with Wrathion being Thrall 2.0 with infinitely more smolder. Cataclysm’s last days were similarly bizarre: a whole heap of Caverns of Time stuff plus the Dragon Soul raid. It was cool, but like N’zoth it felt anticlimactic.
So in the same way that I enjoyed Cataclysm, I definitely enjoyed BFA. And in case anyone was wondering, I’d put BFA above Cataclysm in my ranking of WoW expansions.
Finally, I think BFA will be remembered more fondly than people are giving it credit for now. It’s the current expansion, so all of its problems are right in our faces. When we eventually step back, we’ll likely be better pleased with what we see.
My issue with BFA is how boring the end game is. Most issues were eventually fixed, at least the systems were, but Islands were still a no brainer rush to the end and so were Warfronts, including Heroic version. All you had to do once you got your Revered/Exalted(Depending on your goals) with the factions is just spam M+ and wait for raid night if you don’t PvP.
I guess this has been the end game of WoW for quite sometime but it still doesn’t make it any less annoying, for Shadowlands I am just looking forward for Thorghast to pass time.
BFA pushed me to FF14 and ESO.
I will come back but it will never be the same
To each their own OP, it’s all about your own experience. People usually call me crazy when I say I hated legion, but that’s because I picked one of the worst classes and had terrible luck. I had a great time pvping in WoD, and prefer it to BfA or legion.
I started in BFA, and I’m staying in Shadowlands, so that means i enjoyed the game and the expansion I think?
Granted, I haven’t done any high level stuff, but i want to do that once shadowlands hit.
After all the hate I’ve seen on here about BFA I’m genuinely surprised that so many people agreed with me!
Anything is good if you choose to ignore the flaws.
Probably has to do with how much you did (or didn’t) play.
Grinding Mechagon to exalted 4 times to get the required essence, that was bad.
Starting alts in 8.3 and getting to cloak 15 - and then max resistance? Bad.
Getting the exact same piece in your weekly cache for 3-4 weeks in a row? Very bad.
Many of the M+ affixes that eventually got nerfed hard, when they weren’t nerfed, they were bad.
Not having flying for over a year? Bad.
Professions? Horribad.
Gold and level of other rewards? Horribad.
Mission board? Actually was designed to punish players for using it. I mean … wtf.
The vessel grind in 8.3 combined with anti-guild setup of visions? Drove me away, honestly.
I’ve been done with BfA for a while now, can’t wait for pre-patch to come back to WoW a bit.
I liked it too but hated corruptions in pvp
It’s because your brain is small and easily entertained.
