I Actually Loved BFA

I liked the individual Kul’tiras and Zandalar stories and questing.

Music and art was good per usual. But BFA was the first expansion to make me quit the game for over half the expansion.

Can’t point to a specific reason why. I just sat in Boralus one night looking for a group and I stopped and asked myself “Why am I playing?”

I couldn’t find an answer, so I just stopped.

Hard disagree on Azerite, corruption, and the story, but these things are always subjective. For me, they were unacceptable and ruined the expansion.

BFA was solid. Granted I didn’t really play post 8.3

I still played most the expansion and enjoyed myself. Definitely better than WoD for sure.

Thats because they have designed the answer out of the game. Unless you specifically want to simply chase ILVLs there is no real purpose, and the purpose behind chasing ILVLs has no purpose, thus, the game has no purpose.

Without some end goal, some concept, some unique epic finale that tests all of our gear, that the best of the best gear is required to see, until that carrot is there the game has no purpose. They removed that carrot and haven’t brought it back.

Its like removing Ganon from Zelda and replacing it with nothing. It makes no sense. The entire goal and all the content in between suddenly means nothing. Its a psychological motivation issue that Blizzard fails to recognize.

Most of the issues I had with BfA got worked out, though things like Corruptions still left a pretty sour taste in my mouth. It had some really dumb moments in the story, but it had a lot of highs.

I regret not progging BoD. I’ve heard unreal praise from friends and family who raided this expansion, but health reasons kept me from playing at the time. Ultimately BfA pulled me back into the world and I made plenty of new friends this expac.

Definitely not the best, but a far cry from being the worst.

Sometimes people like stupid things, they are usually stupid themselves.

BFA became great to me after I found an awesome guild to play with. Your enjoyment of it really depended on who you played with, and I feel a lot of people spewing the negativity don’t have that link in game and it can get lonely and frustrating. Dunno if you had the same, but I figured that might be a reason you enjoyed it more than others.

BFA wasn’t good then, your guild was.

Not true. Quite enjoyed a lot of the content. It had a ton of flaws as well, but it’s a lot easier to enjoy a social game when you have a good social group. Not everything has to be negative either. Let people enjoy things.

And that’s exactly while blizzard will keep dishing out garbage nobody wants.

thank you if you enjoyed what i helped imagine.

I loved all the zones, quests, stories, allied races, art, music, the war campaign

There was lots of fun to be had this expansion

8.3 totally killed any enjoyment I was having with this expansion though

Azerite gear sucked, the heart felt pointless.
Islands and warfronts were a huge flop

The expansion was a lot of fun at times and a total bore at others.

It was a very mixed bag

I think BFA turned it around right at the corruption vendor. Thats where real balance came in. I also really liked Nyalotha. I thought 8.0 was a bit lame and it ended up having me quit. BFAs story was all over the place though. One minute we are fighting Sylvanas, the next minute WERE FIGHTING AN OLD GOD. I think the story and its direction was the worst overall.

Battle for Dazaralor alone cements this expansion as one I really liked.

I… honestly don’t have a ton I hate. I was able to do some heroic raiding and I was able to do M+, which is all I really want to do to begin with.

I’m with you, I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. Early azerite was an issue but it was fixed, and corruption was an awesome idea but was implemented poorly. I enjoyed the story for the most part, and really appreciated the branching quest paths.

Things I didn’t like were Zuldazar, which was beautiful but a pain in the butt to get around to where you needed unlike Boralus. Corruptions as they were implemented. Magni yelling about Woons.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it, either. I think at this point I’m just tired of it. I didn’t raid (apart from LFR) or do M+ because that’s not my thing, but I liked the invasions and WPvP

To say I hated it feels like a strong word. But I certainly didn’t love it.

The best part of the expansion for me was probably 8.1-8.1.5 alt catchup was perfect and reminded me alot of later legion patches.

8.3.7 or 5 or wehatever changed it for the better alot. but it would be sooo much better if the cloak lvling was made faster for alts.

I didn’t hate it honestly. It was a fun experience. Although I did miss Legion a lot. :frowning:
