I am confused. if there was a 2 year investigation, and blizzard employees have been working from home since start date march 14 ,2020. was some of this investigation done online during meetings? is it from gathered evidence of the when they were at base less then the 1st year? is it gathered from past incidents prior to the start date of the investigation and up? I cant say im for or against in defense of either side as the story is lacking so much, if someone could fill me in on the gaps?

I just wanted to pop in here and laugh at the OP for what I’m assuming is an attempt to use a former bush official who probably hid warcrimes and has only worked at Blizzard for a few months and mostly remotely during that short time as some sort of refute to everything going on. Hahahahaha.

Funny as all the people I know working from Home, have little to no interaction outside of 10-15 min zoom meetings that are all business.

There is most likely, as there is in the entire world, in every situation, 2 sides to this story, and both sides are most likely lying and exaggerated.
There is most likely “flirting” and “conversations about personal life” some of that gets labeled as Sexual Harrasment is just absurd.
There is also likely real sexual harassment going on.
There is also likely lying and exaggeration going on.
There is also likely females that like males, and are being “rejected” and are offended by it, and label that as harassment “he rejected me due to lack of attraction, and that’s harassment”
And a million other scenarios that happen everywhere in Daily life.

I’m going to guess that scrolling is hard, so I’ll repeat my thought process for why my personal, non-binding opinion is that I think the allegations are likely valid:
- Blizzard has said, themselves, that they fully cooperated with the investigation and gave the investigators access to “ample” internal documentation
- The fifty-page document that lays out the allegations describes multiple situations, of multiple different types, happening to multiple different people, in thorough detail
- The fifty page document also lays out trends and statistics that the DFEH wouldn’t have unless they were able to go through and run the numbers on all of Blizzard’s internal HR documents
- A lot of current and former Blizzard employees have been speaking out, non-anonymously, to corroborate and confirm the stories in the filing, and about the internal culture that lead to those situations
- Everything that I’ve heard in the filing and from subsequent stories tracks and makes sense to me, and matches with the limited experiences that I was previously aware of, nothing about it seems impossible or implausible
- The DFEH, a state regulatory body bound by the rules and laws of the state of California as well as federal rules and laws, has multiple checkpoints that need to be passed before a case can actually get to court. They have to have jurisdiction. They have to complete an investigation. The investigation has to provide enough evidence that a violation happened to move forward with a complaint (just a violation, and the DFEH’s filing found many in this case). They have to offer mediation to settle out of court. And only then can they actually file a court case, where all of the evidence will be presented to a judge. That we have gotten to this step suggests that the evidence that they have is both compelling and voluminous.
If you have a similar layout of your thought process as it applies to the details of this case in particular beyond a weird fixation on waiting for a court decision to look at the evidence presented so far at all and a general, free-floating distrust of government/lawyers/women/California, by all means feel free to share it.

I dont think due process is the “wrong thing” at all.
Everything you have said in this whole thread is showing you have a strong bias, and an emotional attachment to the situation.
