That’s weird man I also recently unlocked them and did the intro quest and just got the race. It wasn’t a weird thing at all.

It really was. It took me several days.
That is really strange. The quest for the dungeon doesn’t impact unlocking the race. When you click on the board is there a level requirement? I vaguely remember that being required at one point, but I don’t know if it was changed after the great squish.
Ok, what part is so confusing? The fact I have a screenshot saying it is unlocked. Is it my grammar? I was keeping it short. It says unlocked and it locked on creation. There is zero other way to say this. It is bugged and will not allow me to create a mecha gnome.
Customer service is a joke. Half of them do not even know what the ghost effect is. That is what’s wrong with wow. Too many ghost effect in game due largely to removing and changing spells.

Edit: I have the achievement unlocked, The Mechagonian Threat, and I am lvl 50 on the character that did all the legwork for that.
I also unlocked the Zandalari trolls, which of course requires ALL the major achievements of BfA, some of which are base requirements for the Mechagnome unlock as well.
BUT, I am not getting the breadcrumb quest “Urgent Care” from the Stormwind embassy, nor is Kelsey Steelspark available (I read that she may offer the quest rather than the embassy).
So I’m stuck, and opened a ticket.
Honestly, the race unlocks shouldn’t require this degree of out-of-game referencing, help, and headaches.

I agree there. I had to really dive down into the Wowhead guides to figure it out. People who stopped any of those quest lines part way end up very very lost.
The CS forum support agents can sometimes help with pointing out where you are going off track. It is not really something GMs are supposed to do - they consider it a game hint. But, if the CS forum folks are not busy they sometimes can check it for you. That might be an option instead. The regulars there are pretty good with the guides too and helping folks get back on track.

Last I checked there is only one removed quest per faction for the allied race topic. And that was offered by ji firepaw (and the ally equivalent), I think it was related toward the recruitment process to get another allied race not the quests to unlock them (which have not changed, except as people said no longer needing dungeon and can skip).
This all coming from me checking the allied race category in all the things addon.
Thank you for the helpful reply. I am going through things on my end via wowhead with a fine toothed comb to see if I missed anything.
EDIT: Ok… So, as per this note on wowhead, the information of which could not directly be found in the race unlock guide, all I had to do to complete the Operation: Mechagon- The Mechoriginator final stage, was to chat to the Prince again to get the skip.
He then offered the Urgent Care breadcrumb.
So, solved, and woo! On the track to the next part.

Have you tried this, from the person above? They had the same issue as you and was able to solve it.
Master flying is indeed at level 40. It costs 5k gold. Make sure you’re talking to the correct trainer.

I tell you what. Show me how or what website I show you this: Mechan gnome unlocked screenshot. It is not that difficult. You keep on and keep on insisting I miss something. Why is it so difficult to admit there is something in-game wrong? Our you that desperate to prove the game is never wrong? Fine great and wow the all-powerful game has no bugs. does this make it better for you? Cause for me it still locked and will not let me make one despite saying it is unlocked!
Curious if you ever got to the bottom of why the HighMountains weren’t unlocking.
I had the exact same reaction to unlocking maghar orcs. It seems they went out of their way to HIDE the ways to do these.
Same. I tried to unlock Nazjatar. Everything on google said no longer need X and X and… and yet still i couldnt get there. Theres a turtle standing near the inn in Boralus who will unlock some of these things, but its completely unmarked.

That person was trying to help you, and you kept ignoring their advice. Even if something says “complete”, something (whatever it is) can still go wrong. IK glitches can happen in this game because it’s happened to me. But you couldn’t be bothered to go back and double check what you might’ve missed. Instead, you just kept repeating “it’s bugged!” despite somebody trying to help fix your issue.
Not once did I read you say that you completed said quest or whatever to the person (trying to help you) asking about a specific thing. Nor have you actually provided the alleged screenshot that you insist that you have. I suggest you react a little bit nicer to people trying to help you, otherwise you won’t ever find a solution to your issue.

Are you sure I did not go back and check? How do you know this for a fact? Guess what I have checked and I did work on this problem for 6 months. Guess what nothing has worked. I am tired of people’s assuming that it is my fault. That I have done something wrong in-game and need to fix my problem. When the fact is everyone ignores the glaring issue. It said it was unlocked in the first place. Thus, do not make assumptions not based on facts. Cause this issue really gets on my nerve. You have not and can not see what I have tried to do in-game. That an insult to my intelligence and yours for that matter.
Then comes the issue of why are they still locked in the first place.
Give me a link and show me how to put up a screenshot and I will provide said evidence.

No… you only need to be 40. I just bought it on an alt yesterday. Go to the flying trainer in Orgrimmar and buy it.
The way you responded to the person trying to help you, you did not say that you already double checked. You just kept repeating “it’s bugged!”. Just answer the specific question with a “I already checked, and that’s not the issue” instead of repeating “I HAVE UNLOCKED IT! YOU’RE NOT GETTING IT, REEEEE!!!”

Judging by your attitude, I can see why not. Calmly talk through the situation instead of being antagonistic towards people trying to help you. It’s not our fault. We can’t fix the issue, if we don’t know what the issue is.
The only thing I’m blaming you for is your attitude. There was no reason to treat that person trying to help you figure out what your issue is. Not once did they utter “it’s your fault”, so don’t assume that about people trying to help you. Suggesting you might’ve missed something is not the same as saying “it’s your fault”. This community is very understanding when people make mistakes.
Your mistake and problem is your antagonistic attitude. It’s no wonder it’s taken you six months to figure this out because you keep biting the hands of those trying to help you.
Nobody is ignoring anything. They’re trying to cover ALL of the basis. We know you say it’s one thing, but it could be something else that’s not that thing. Again, don’t be antagonist towards people trying to help you.
Having the achievement “Insurrection” doesn’t actually mean somebody has unlocked the Nightborne (IK you’re talking about the Mechagnomes, I’m just using Nightborne as an example). You still have to do some scenario afterwards to unlock it, in the first place. There’s a possibility certain achievements are being conflated as “well, I completed it, where’s my allied race?”
Nobody is assuming anything. The person trying to help you was throwing out suggestions not assumptions. Don’t conflate the two. I (and myself only) assume you to be a jerk, and my evidence and facts to back that up is all of your posts and attitude towards the poster in question, who was just trying to help you.
Don’t be antagonistic towards people, and I won’t assume you to be a jerk.
I can see you did not double check, in real time, when the person (trying to help you) asking you very specific questions that you did not answer, so I assumed (because you didn’t say one way or another) that you took their suggestion and tossed it aside and didn’t do what they suggested.
I really don’t care what people assume about my intelligence maybe you do, I don’t.

No, they were trying to ensure where in the questline you’re at, and you didn’t answer.
It’s not an excuse to be a jerk to people trying to help you. Don’t take it out us, we’re not your problem.

I am sorry you feel this way. How about how I feel when you ignore everything I have said? Thus, you were not helping because you ignore everything I said.
So because you want a complete breakdown.
- I did everything in this forum on the matter for the last 2 years.
- I did everything to unlock back when they were still a race. I completed all requirements on my orc Rijuku.
- Then I log to Lilith on my alliance character. There I did all mecha quests up to killing the king.
- Then I went to storm and got the last quest.
- Log off and could not make one.
- Then I went to forums in 2020. There I followed advice including the ones to talk to NPC. That did not work.
- Tried again on Oct 2021. Played on my alliance and aimed for all achievements in Mech island. This was a Wowhead solution. This did not work.
- Then in 2021 in Oct I got anther suggestion from a poster. To see if you can find any hidden quest. I again found none. She also told of bugs that you mentioned. It did not work.
- Since 2021 I had the mech gnomes screenshot showing done. It is still locks.
Now I have explained everything? If you like I can go into all my achievements and link everyone also.
Why should I make a list of everything done in-game? Should not evidence be enough? All anyone had to do was show me a way to provide this evidence. Nope, what you want and I just posted is a breakdown of everything done. This seems unnecessary when I have repeatedly said I have a screenshot. Thus, you saying I am wrong because someone else wanted me to make and do an in-depth of what I have done in-game. That comes to the same conclusion. That is supposed to be unlocked. Said it unlock and it’s not. Why not consider he is trolling?
