I’m out until dinars/bullions become a thing

Exactly. Gearing the character is not fun. Blasting with it once your geared IS. Pushing higher and higher keys because now you don’t have an excuse ‘well I don’t yet have spymaster’ etc. TO ME is the fun part of the game. It would nice to be able to raid log with a fully kitted out toon so that I could REALLY SEE how I compared to the rest of the world, and then I would strive to get better from there.

Idk maybe I’m weird or different but this is how I see it. If I could have my way, I would have every class and spec, fully kitted out, and I would just pick the one I wanted to blast on that day. I feel like I’d play more as opposed to less as some others have suggested in the thread.

You don’t actually though.

Signed a warlock that never got his class trinket in abberus

Honestly why not just remove gear from the game entirely? It only seems to make the people who don’t have it sad. Just have everyone’s ilvl go up by 1 per week from the start of the expac til the end. You can still pick your stat ratios but that’s just a toggle, no need for actual items.

Make all rewards in the whole game cosmetic. No more not having gear, no more sad.

No it shouldn’t.

The difference between a full hero and full myth track is minor. If you didn’t earn the mythic difficulty you don’t deserve the mythic piece.

You mean like the elite transmogs bad players are literally demanding in another thread?

That’s not how this game works.

I’m fine with it, but to be honest, WOW would lose a lot of players.

It would make my quitting for dayz a lot easier.

Idk man your comments aren’t very based. The difference between hero/myth is HUGE this season it’s 13 item levels. By Ion’s estimates that’s 13% more damage, which honestly it’s even more. I feel like you’re just trolling and arguing just to argue. You said your warlock never got the class trinket? Why wouldn’t you agree with my sentiments?

The one concern I have is lack of incentive to repeat content.

Like, run it once, finish it, never again.

How else to motivate that in such a system?

The difference between hero and myth on a single trinket however is extremely not huge. Your gear isn’t holding you back in the slightest.

The idea that mythic gear is some great prize died a long time ago. Now you earn things like AOTC mounts, CE achievments, and M+ portals. The gear is just a tool you use to earn those things.

Saying that players don’t deserve loot is such a weird take. Why do you care what ilvl somebody else has? It doesn’t impact you at all.

Raid gear is still special, else it wouldn’t come from very specific bosses that few people manage to kill.

That’s your opinion.

I’ll take sims over yours and ions math.

Nope. I’m here to point out terrible suggestions.

Because at the end of the day gear isn’t going to fix your grey parses.

Even in the case of the class trinket. It’s a rare item and it’s meant to be rare. If everyone has it then then it’s not rare.

Rng is a thing. While I didn’t get the class trinket my hunter has all the rare items at mythic level minus the ring which is heroic.

Rng favors you better in some tiers.

I’m not going to throw a tantrum over not getting it.

Seems like more evidence we should remove gear from the game. No more comparing, no more sad.

If they were to try it, it has to be a season 1 2 or 3 I think. If it were a season 4, I think people will largely simply, not play.

Can I have your gold?

You realize that is their job right? They are quite literally world first players.

They do that for a reason.
Using them for any kind of example is bad.

“World first players complaining about using 12 toons to target bis gear so they can be world first raiders”. - for them, that .01% upgrade can make or break their runs.

For the average player or even progression, it won’t be that noticeable.

You have the same opportunities.

Rng is rng. 12 toons maximizes their rng.

Has zero to do with being a prize. It’s a reward for doing hard content. This game has always rewarded gear based off the difficulty of content. The hardest content awards the best gear.

If you want mythic track gear do mythic raid and keys above a 10. If not be happy with how much heroic gear is thrown at you. It’s ok for good players to have better gear.

Because that’s not how mmos work. If you want the gear then earn it like everyone else.

Eh, I died to Fyrakk with like 10k hp left or something. Gear would’ve made a difference there, just like a lot of other things. Same is true for World First Raiders, rarely is it actually the case of stuff being mathematically impossible.

But why do you care? Does your experience in WoW get worse if normal raiders can grind out 639 with enough time played?

The reward for completing the most difficult content is not gear, it hasn’t been for a long time. You’re going to vendor your current gear 3 weeks into next season. Your achievments, titles, mounts, and transmogs are the rewards that you get to keep forever.

You’re acting like mythic raiders are barred from doing normal.

Having gear rewards makes it more fun.
