I was thinking shadow priest but I’ve seen or noticed after dispersion, you guys go on the spriest and eventually they die cause well no dispersion. So thats prob out. They are “tanky” focused will, shield etc but I was thinking either between ele shaman or boomkin? Warlock is prob tankier but not my playstyle, would appreciate thoughts on that if you can though. Between ele shaman or boomkin I guess.
Spriest is probably the tankiest caster overall. Disperse is a 1 min cooldown which is insane and easily the strongest defensive CD that any caster dps has. Later on when mana is less of an issue you won’t have to pop disperse because you’re oom and should regularly have it available when you’re focused.
Boomkin is a worse off than spriest but still has barkskin and frenzied regen plus innate damage reduction and some healing ability
Ele has high armor but lacks any decent defensives so it has low survivability overall
Mage is pretty tanky vs certain classes because they are great at avoiding damage and screwing over dot classes with absorbs and 50% less debuff duration. However hunters are the bane of mages and there are plenty of them in Cata.
Warlock is tanky on paper because of soul link and increased healing from demon armor but lacks mobility and strong defensives so they are bad at avoiding damage. Good portals are what make a warlock hard to kill.
Agree across the board @soy
Appreciate it lots! Thats the kinda run down I was lookin for!
