I’m just trying to understand

How is it possible that a team of of a dozen or so random people in their 20s and 30s in Europe run several perfectly fine functioning WoW private servers yet here we are with a company that nets almost 10B annually and we have broken green items?? Not only that but just “no fix” basically??

Just… I’m genuinely curious, how does this happen?

Blizzard def should be doing a better job, but comparing how this game is made the way blizzard had to make it to how private servers make them is just moronic. Of course when you try to stuff tbc functionality into modern wows system you are going to have some wonky bugs.

OK that is a given but when we are considering a multibillion dollar company does “wonky bugs “” fall into green items completely not working?

Have to agree that blizzard has zero excuse. They should not have gone live with bugs identified in beta.

But that is always how they have operated.

because they had the genius idea of copy pasting TBC onto the Shadowlands engine which has had multiple redesigns since the original classic engine that was used up until Cataclysm which was then further changed during BfA

Which private servers would never do. Because they know better.

They aren’t running several perfectly smooth private servers. They’re laggy as hell, disconnect randomly multiple times per day, quests, zones, and sometimes full boss encounters don’t work due to scripting issues. The only thing they’re good for is literally when there’s nothing else available.

They 2 busy banning people for asking in bgs instead of actually making their game run

I also hear all their green items are broken.

Oh wait . . . you were talking about private servers.

This has not been said a million times yet… but we’re probably getting close!
