Paid money for some ancestry test, turns out I am 8% Norwegian, and my last name is found primarily around Europe. Which is wild because I’m Aussie

You know who else is from Norway? Ragnar Lothbrok. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ivar the boneless was in the family tree somewhere.

You can get a DNA and me or ancestry kit from a Walgreens or cvs for about $100.

Then I suggest avoiding Green bay. Vikings don’t do very well when they go there.

I suggest you use an in-home do it yourself kit.

Too many of those that do them for you are really selling your info, making you pay for it and then they just write you fluffy letters telling you a fable about your heritage.

I’m also an aussie and I got more Norwegian in me (high teens-20’s) . The rest is from around there so it’s safe to say I’m very much more “viking” then you

And as others said, alot of aussie have european backgrounds so its not uncommon to “have a bit of viking” in you. Again, 8% is almost nothing compared to other aussies

Mines would be wild with swedish and japanease mix,i can pretty much know my ancestry on one side with the record but the other is a mystery .
