I’m here for the experience of the storyline and game mechanics. I don’t need to let plate classes dominate the entire time to get this feeling. How about some balance changes.
No, it’s the flavor of the expansion, suck it up.
It’s not though. The flavor doesn’t come from inflated stats and abilities. That’s just a wrong conclusion
We’re already on the patch that had the balancing and DK nerfs. they’re not top DPS or the best tanks. Warrior DPS is subpar and paladin DPS doesn’t come online until ICC
Granted paladin healers are very strong.
And considering 3/4 of the tanks wear plate them being best tanks is statistically in their favor.
Honestly I think balance is pretty good. I’d say ret / DK is maybe a tad overturned still but that also comes with the fact that you have to fist fight 50 other rets / dks for gear. I’m sure some small balancing tweaks wouldn’t be bad but anything major is a no go imo
Messing with balance is the worst possible thing they could ever do. As we have already discovered they can keep messing with balance for 20 years and never figure it out. Just leave well enough alone.
They continuously attempted to balance classes. That is part of what gave us Retail.
You can have all the class (re)balancing you want over in retail where your character already is.

On one hand, the comment about constant balance changes during the course of an expansion is correct, for all of the hardcore keep it the same folks, that boat sailed long ago when we went straight into 3.3.5.
On the other hand, I don’t have any faith that balancing could occur with any semblance of a brain or without breaking 15 things to balance 1 thing. My faith in blizzard being able to accurately take the pulse of the class balance is grim because it’s pretty obvious that the days of devs playing fairly competitively have died. They would most likely use the easy button and go off of parses, which are wildly variable from top to bottom, and in turn, the changes would barely address the normal player base (looking straight at you fiery weapon nerf).
We don’t want class balancing because part of the appeal of classic is that we know what to expect from the classes and specs. Plus Blizzard aren’t always the best at balancing, it often throws things further out of whack. We know what to expect, if you want to be op play a spec that is op.
Go away, TBC and classic went unchanged balance wise, you wanna change classes go to retail.
And it’s could have been better
