If Blizzard does add RFD say 6 months or so after release will you guys be upset?

maybe im not firmly in the anti-RFD crowd, although I think classic would be better off without it, but I wouldn’t care. As long as its none of the half measured “compromises” people come up with. It needs to be as-is, cross realm, auto teleporting bs.
I would wager most people who need RDF are the people with 3 or more alts, and can’t say that’s how I enjoy the game, so RDF isn’t necessary for me. So while I’m happy its out, I wouldn’t care if they decided to add it back in.
I’m not for or against it. I could care less, but that’s because I’m told that I am the “minority” with friends in a guild who intend to play.
I also haven’t seen anyone complain about it outside of the forums and the guild-less folks.

Anyone else just not care either way? like if it’s in then cool, if not then whatever, neither scenario makes me want to write an essay on the forums about why it should/should not be included.

The Anti-RDF crew doesn’t want a pure experience though. They want Vanilla in Northrend. Because if the game isn’t painful to play, it’s clearly not “cool”.

It depends on how long each phases is If we’re talking about if it’s at the very tail end and we only get to use it for like a month and a 1/2 yeah I’m going to be livid.
But if we’re talking that wrath actually lasts a year depending on how things play out And that equivalence too about toc I be OK with that.
I mean of course I would want it faster than that ideally pack I wanted a pre patch and I think the fact that they’re not adding in is a mistake dake and if I’m playing devil’s advocate a little bit here I think they’re gonna add it in sooner cause I think the backlash from not having it is going to make the game way worse.
But I guess the default answer it depends

I tried vanilla, wasn’t the game for me. At least at my age and level of other things to do. Resubbed for LK ASSUMING there would be a LFG because supporters of Classic were so adamant about maintaining all good a bad systems. Then I find this out…
I find the whole thing hypocritical and people are just changing the terms because of what you said.
I do think this is just an attempt of blizzard to either cash in on boosts or don’t have the manpower to implement the tech however. The fact that some people here are arguing to keep out an LK system really blows my mind though.

I dont think RFD is the problem. Xrealm grouping was the problem. If they add RFD without Xrealm (or some system that only kicks people x-realm under certain circumstances) I wouldn’t care when they added it.

Yeah this is the “real” issue, but like “Ban GDKP!” so many of the NuVanilla Players don’t understand the underlying causes for the issues, and just want to ban the symptoms in the hopes that something will magically change.
Like LFG right now is nothing like it was in Vanilla 15 years ago, because back then there was a social fabric formed by the players because we wanted one. The modern mindset has already shifted to self-centric play without LFD but they want to ban it because “it will destroy the community” that many of them already admit is completely gone.
Players make the community. Players chose to abuse the cross-realm aspects of the LFD tool. A naive Blizzard didn’t understand this, but the modern development team can’t even learn from the original team’s mistakes, and just flat out bans it to pander to a vocal minority.

Im gonna be honest. Out of all the Pro RFD folks here on the forum echo chamber, you have swayed me from standing in the i dont care either way crowd. To the slughtly i hope RDF makes its way in by launch.

I play on a smaller server (on the least populated faction), so RDF would be a boon.
I really hope that it makes it into the game, but I’ll still be playing either way.
The Pro-toxic crew wants their pacifier back. But mommy said its time to grow up.
